  1. I may end up with a couple three of these. Thanks Ed
  2. The only fault this lady had was showing up for work that day. They all need a good ass kicking.
  3. I am also an instructor and have heard nothing about this. Why would the state care when you did a class? If you choose to put on a class after season is open, it is your choice. Makes no sense to me.
  4. 110 grains of blackhorn 209 Harvestor regular sabot 200 grain 40 cal xtp cci primers. But it is a 45 caliber.
  5. I want that much at camp for the fall/winter
  6. my NEF sidekick shoot 240 grain 430 lead in a harvestor crush rib sabot very well with blackhorn 209. MY encore laughs at the 240;s
  7. ok was just curious. maybe a different sabot too
  8. can I ask why you are using a different bullet when you have one that works well in your other gun? I try to stick with the same to keep it simple. Just curious.
  9. yes cram 2 down the barrel and the bullet will sit in the end of the barrel lol. I would guess 90 -100 will be the good range. Anymore is honestly a waste.
  10. I hope he has the correct papers when he gets to canada or customs will not allow him in and he will have to walk back on the wire too.
  11. congrats officer Ryan. I know him personally a good guy http://readme.readmedia.com/New-York-State-Rifle-Pistol-Association-Names-Officer-Jonathan-Ryan-DEC-Officer-of-the-Year/4280089
  12. First I use the wind as a factor. Next is location between bedding and feeding areas as well as access to the stand with the least amount of disturbance. I do use trail cams, but I find by the time I am in a stand to hunt, the patterns have changed due to the change in feed such as cut corn fields they no longer utilize. I try to set my food plots to accommodate my stands rather than the other way around. In other words when I find a good stand place, I put in a plot to help the deer move the way I prefer. Another factor I take into consideration is cover for my stand. It needs to be well concealed.
  13. I took it out the the range with some 2 3/4 federal turkey loads. With the extra full turkey choke, at 30 yards it was more like a slug took the head off the turkey. I did carry it hunting, but was not lucky enough to get a bird. As for the ruger, I decided on a smith and wesson sd 40
  14. thanks guys, I will check them out. I shot it over the weekend. So far I am very happy. I am going to load some 180 grain lead bullets to plink with and see how it works out.
  15. I picked up a smith and wesson sd 40. Ploymer frame trijicon front night sight. Came with an extra clip Shoots well, and I am tweaking soem loads for it now
  16. I have one for my encore. I shoot either varget or IMR 4895 over 140 grain corelokts. Am excellent combo for deer. Many bang flops.
  17. Dvr'd the one with the beehive and watched it earlier. I cracked up
  18. here is a pic if the fawn I almost stepped on when walking down the trail to check the food plot
  19. I leave the honda at camp in the shed. Put marine stabil in the tank let it run for about 10 minutes, pull the battery being it home and put it in the heated garage, The suzuki I have in the garage with the plow attaches and it runs when it snows and if it doesnt, I still run it every couple weeks.
  20. I just put mine in the door on on myself
  21. single shot 270. A great all around deer caliber and a single shot makes you a better shot as you know what you have to do do get the harvest.
