The main reason I got into teaching the hunter Ed classes was to do my part to help make sure the tradition of hunting is carried on. Do I think there is enough opposition to get hunting totally stopped if our numbers decline? NO I do not. If we do not keep our numbers up, those of us who continue to hunt will be paying much more money for the privelege, as the state will want the same amount of money coming in. I believe it will become more difficult in the future to carry out our tradition, without conforming to a lot of changes. I also reach out for the people who want to hunt, but have not had the opportunity to learn at home. I see more of this with single mother homes. The mother and child or two taking the class together. She is doing all she can to help the child or children carry out what they want to do, when most times she has no real interest. I have taken quite a few of them out hunting after, so they could get off to a good start, and some of the mothers have really enjoyed themselves. I feel we all need to do our part to keep the tradition going regardless of what the tradition means to you.

yup so be it. I am done defending myself for your issues and misguided thoughts about what the truth is. I still find it very funny that people who do the right and legal thing get shot down and made to look bad by those who see no problem with breaking the law. the part I dont get is the claim is the take was up, whih it was. But everyone knows somone who desotn report and it seems to be estimatred at half report, and than take into account deer that are poached. I dont get how so many people were reporting all season not seeing deer. It seems they are out there and the herds have not been dessimated. I traveled 108 miles today for work and saw 83 deer out in fields.

so if you take the number harvested that were reported and the nubeer of licenses sold, it is a small percnetage of hunters who legally harvest a deer.

my extra full is the same way. It extends past the barrel and I can unscrew it by hand. Yeah it takes a little more time, but I always work to make my one good shot just that a good shot. If it means I pass on a couple iffy shots, then I pass. I am sure there will be some if they read this would call me a liar and say I wound tons of animals and will not admit to it. But hey they can do just that as most judge others by their own actions.
