  1. I took the bike out today for a 10 mile ride. It was awesome.
  2. ok so if someone shot you with a bow you would kill them? What if they wounded you with a gun? To me that seems kind of hypocritical. If someone hit you with a car, would you back up and run into them again? I am just trying to figure out the logic.

If you have an H&R muzzleloder it is a necessity to get the mu plug if you want to shoot bh209. With any muzzleloader, you will need a 209 breech plug and and it has to be a sealed one. If you go to there website, it explains more about it www.blackhorn209.com There are a lot of good points to the mu plug even if you do not want to shoot bh209. As far as I am concerned, it is a great upgrade for the H&R muzzleloader. I hav ebeen shooting ot since last spring and I have not had one ignition problem with bh 209 in any of my inlines.
  4. Co owner of 300 acres and have 200 of a neighbrs we get exclusively for cutting and stacking him 12 cords of wood a year. He is in his 70s and does not hunt, and lives alone. when he goes, we wil get the land per his will.
  5. I woul attend if it fit into my schedule. I would see a place to hold it as a problem.
  6. I think they should eliminate Sunday hunting again. Lots of states do so and have great results. We should all be in church anyway, which is where I am going now.

    BH209

yup it is. Suggested retail is 35 but when there is only one guy around who has it and the next closest is 60 miles away and 5 bucks less, you pay it. It would not pay me to travel to get it. I am getting all my friends hooked, then when they are we will order in bulk together, and split the shippng costs.

I was the moderator of that forum until all that happened then I resigned. No, I'm not using a wad..I just dump the powder, settle it with a couple of raps of my hand, and then seat the bullet..With the NE bullets I don't even use a short starter...
  12. My biggest trip planned is to camp to plant plots and stuff like that
  13. I have a fixed blade case that my dad got me when I was in 11th grade. I do not carry it any longer. I bought a kabar leather handle fixed blade last year. More if a tradition as my Dad carried a leather handle knife for years.
  14. so when you get a deer what do you do with it?
  15. yup with a rib pass through
  16. I agree. during special seasons, I carry my flint lock. I love it.
  17. the northern zone is called primitive also and anything is allowed
  18. I am just starting soem research. I never owned a compound, as I have used the bear grizzly 45 pound recurve for some time. I am doing some research into a 26 inch about 50 pound compound. I am thinkign I will stil shot instinct. I am just liking the idea of let off and being able to hold in a draw position. Any advice would be appreciated.
  19. early ml and earlier bow sounds like a winner.
  20. I certainky have to disagree with that. I shot a 190 pound buck at 40 yards last fall with my 25-06. I was puhing a 115 grin nosler partition with 52 grains of Imr 4831. I hit just behind the shoulder broadside and the exit was quarter sized. The deer ran 30 yards down hill and piled. Lungs were mush. I have seen much more damage from a 30-06 or 7 mag than I had. it isnt about caliber as much as it is about bullet selection and shot placement. Plus pushing a hornady xtp 44 cal at 1800 fps out of my muzzleloader does much more damage than my 25-06 ever did.
  21. I am paying all I can Ed. But you enjoy your crossbow. I plan to get one too. I will probably sell all my guns. it is much better then any gun anyway.
  22. I expected Doc that you would not show until this thread hit 100 pages
  23. I would certainly hope that is not true. > you should not judge people based on your own actions.
