  1. I wonder if I can stomp a whole box of kittens and when convicted of animal cruelty say I was expressing my self and my rights have been violated.
  2. one with fixed razors that dont move.
  3. Clark Summit is just before Scranton going south on 81. Great bend is about 5 min south of the NY border from Kirkwood NY. Interesting that gun season isn't even open for deer yet in PA. So he shot a bow hunter Crazy uncle Joe Biden is from Scranton so I'll let you make your own assumtions.
  4. I think I would have a really hard time not slappin a b-tc-
  5. Lesson #1 That one little twig in your lane that you think will never hamper a shot will. Lesson#2 The shoulder is not your friend, no matter what poundage you are shooting. This concludes my lessons learned this yr.
  6. Wont need to, Im hoping the cars will just pile them up for me as they eat the block out of the ditch. I find it to be more efficient this way. Yeah you lose a little meat but the numbers should make up for it. Its about 20 yrds down the road from my driveway to so the drag isnt that bad to the skinnin tree
  7. Well I wish I could post a pic with me sittting next to a nice deer but unfortunately it didnt work out that way. After passing numerous baby bucks I had a really nice buck in the 120's with alot of nice mass spread and tine lenght walk up to the 25 yrd marker and turn broadside asking to be shot. I didnt even notice the little ghost branch in the way. After hitting the branch it hit the deer right square in the shoulder and stopped dead. Broadhead broke off after the deer ran and then it started snowing like crazy. Needless to say after about 6 hrs of poking around through the woods trying to find this buck and maybe get another arrow into him I came up empty handed. I never even found a drop of blood. I took the next 2 days off and shot my bow and when I was certain I was confident in my setup again I went back out. Passed numerous baby bucks again before seeing another even bigger 8 point than the one I had shot days before. This one would only get so close when I would call and then he finally got board and wandered off. The last day I hunted I had about 8 doe coming right to me. They would pass by at about 20 yrds so I got ready to fill out the DMP tag I had. Just as they were about to enter the shooting lane a cat that must have been sleeping on a log out in front of me jumped down and ran off. Needless to say sending all the deer into a snorting frenzy. I am beginning to hate bowhunting. Come on gun season.
  8. Walked past a stand that was just put up the other day on some land I hunt on. Block of somekind of bait sitting under it. I took the liberty of helping this guy keep it legal and kicked it all the way down to the bottom of the hill about 200 yrds right into the ditch.
  9. Well I'm off on vacationfrom today untill next Sunday and I'm stoked. Weather is perfect, and the Bucks are moving big time. I wont have access to a computer while I'm out So if I get something I won't be able to post till next week, which I fear will come way to fast. But to those in the woods hunting this week good luck and to those not hunting, you cant kill them from the couch.
  10. Ive hit 4 so far and had to many misses to count in my driving career. Or should I say they hit me.
  11. What!!!?? Those are solid safety tips.
  12. Dont eat the yellow snow!Dont mess with a rabid Squach, Bear or cougar. The Legendary Black Beast of AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!! may look cute but dont mess with it, listen to Tim the Enchanter!!!
  13. No not alot of deer just a very small plot. I tried reviving it with 50 lbs of winter rye but they ate that to dirt to.
  14. Be glad you got corn. All the farms went down about 15 yrs ago around where I hunt. Now its all houses.
  15. Better results than what I got the last time I planted brassicas. I t was on a plot of less than an acre. In one night they reduced it to dirt.
  16. I would think with a plot that big, if they can strip it that fast, you may be above carrying capacity. Time to kill a bunch of Doe. Your buck racks will get bigger too with less competition for food.
  17. So I hung my cam on what I like to call the scrapeing tree behind my house. Every yr for the last 10 yrs Bucks make scrapes under this over hanging pine branch. Well last night a decent 6 point came by and started it off for this yr with about 25 pics of him rubbing his face and forehead all over the overhanging branches and kicking up dirt all over the place. Looked like he was working a wood chipper with all the dirt he was kicking up. He still gets a pass for this yr. Looking to see if the big 8 comes in and works over his scrapes. If he does Ill post some pic's. Was down in PA tonight for Haloween and my wifes cousins were showing me their trail cam photo's. Im seriously thinking about getting a PA lic. They have a 12 point, 3 tens and 9 different eight point's all on cam. All very good deer. ANd thats not even including the hundreds of pics of smaller bucks they have on cam. I would be lucky to see that many big bucks in 5 yrs in NY.
  18. Holy crap my stomache hurts still from seeing that!! Wow!! That must have hurt like heck!!!! I mashed my thumb last yr in a machine at work being stupid. Half The thumb nail was ripped off and they had to take a pair of pliers and bend it back under the skin. It too two nurses holding my hand down and alot of yelling to get it back under. That hurt like nothing ive ever gone through before. And what you have looks like it hurt even worse. Good luck and hope the best for you.
  19. Tinks 69 has always worked for me. See the bucks chaseing or harrassing Doe start drag ragging it to the tree stand.
  20. I saw this last weekend, it was very windy and the deer were not walking to their destinations they were running. I thought at first maybe someone had spooked them but after they were done in the field eating they looked around and started trotting off. They hit the woods and they were off on a run again.
  21. Yeah and the Warden said he would try to get him off light with the judge to because he immediatelly fessed up to the whole thing and didnt try to hide it. Atleast thats what he said. Hopefully he was just playin good cop with him and the judge throws the book at him.
  22. The laws are dumb!! I was always against allowing crossbows into archery but then I got to thinking. If I was ever injured and could not pull my bow back, it would be the end of the world. Atleast a crossbow would keep me in the season. I love the bow and would never use a crossbow unless I was injured. But unless its atleast allowed for handicaped people its not even an option.
  23. He's not exactly what you would call smart!! He's one of those guys that likes to wander on to other peoples land, and doesnt think twice about taking any shot he is provided with. He has lost more deer that turn up coyote bait than anyone I know. I tend to think that most people who bait illegal, are pretty much the same. They wont think twice about tresspassing or any other illegal methods of taking a deer for that matter. I went down to our family shooting range one time and he was down there. I get out of the car and hear some shooting and see him running around through the brush. I was like what the heck is moron doing and went over to investigate. He said he had just got there and was about to shoot when a buck came running though chasing a doe. He decided to open fire on the deer with his 9mm pistol at from what I could tell was about 70 yrds of so. I walked up one side and down the other of the moron and told him if he hit that deer I was going to turn him in. I tracked it for a while but never found any blood. When I got back he was gone. Unfortunatelly when his Mom died of cancer she left the property to him. Figures!!1
