  1. I moved my rest in a hair when I paper tuned it.
  2. No one is stopping gun hunters from hunting with a bow. Gun hunters choose not to hunt bow season with a bow. Therefore they limit themselves and want to punish bow hunters who worked hard to aquire a difficult skill to hunt a special season. Instead of complaining about bow hunters, Maybe you should buy a bow and stop complaining about bowhunters. Its not like you cant afford to buy a bow. I see them used all over the place for dirt cheap. Heck there are people on here who would give you one they had laying around collecting dust.
  3. Had 2 bucks chasing a doe and 2 fawns around me last saturday. She wanted nothing to do with them and they stayed around till they winded me. I cant seem to find it but the DEC has a chart out there somewhere that shows that doe are breed anywhere from Oct - Feb peaking the 2nd week of Nov. They measure the fetuses of car killed doe and can tell from that.
  4. Paint, heck id use a dog turd.
  5. He'll be dead by early morning, if hes not already dead. If your finding his guts on the ground he might be close to death right now. Rule #1 gut shot deer get an immediate back out from the stand and return on after 8-10 hrs at the very least. Arrows kill by bleeding and there are very little veins in the guts. You have to wait for the poison in the guts to do there work for the deer to die. It takes a while. I have found 7 gut shot deer for various people and none of them were easy. The one and only gut shot deer that I have had, I didnt get another arrow into him until the following night, but he was close to dead by then.
  6. Not sure if you are asking me this question or not but the shot was a 48 yrd shot out of a treestand. From what I could tell from the video it was in line with the chest cavity
  7. you'll miss us and start lurking. They always come back. Good luck this season Bubba
  8. I was watching a hunting show last night on pursuit channel. The hunter hit a big buck high and the deer and arrow were never recovered. Fast forward to muzzleloader season and they ended up shooting the buck and killing him. The arrow had broke off inside the deer. Broadhead was stuck under skin on opposite side of entry. Broken off arrow was resting against the backbone. Lungs were never touched.

    youth hunt

Saturday I had a doe 2 fawns and spike all under 20 yrds with the spike coming as close as 10 yrds. They never new I was there till a gust of wind sent them scurrying the opposite direction.
  10. The site said its pretty much a freak acurrance but 2 to 3 people a yr still end up in hospitals for this.
  11. Found this on a site. Apparently arrows can blow up if damaged. iM GOING HOME AND INSPECTING MINE RIGHT AWAY. WARNING GRAPHIC PHOTO'S
  12. I find it very disturbing that experianced hunters are telling inexperianced hunters that its ok to take long shots. My final advice is, if you can 100% of the time put a broadhead tipped arrow in a 6 inch circle, outside, with wind, under hunting conditions, with adrenilan pumping on a deer that in one step can move 6 inches or further in any direction. You are a better shot than I. Or are willing to gamble a little more than I would. And then add low light to it, where you may or may not see where the arrow hit, your insane.
  13. Picked up a summit bushmaster this sprng and cant really say anything bad about it. http://www.cabelas.c...wn;cat104650380
  14. Read an article the other day that said to clean your equipment with a hydrogen peroxide soaked paper towel ( bow, calls, optics ect. ) as scent away products were intended for clothing use and not for equipment. Anyone else do this for equipment scent control. I always though scent away products worked on equipment to?
  15. Ive still got got a pile of dubbing laying around somewhere, Ill have to give it a try and see what it does.

    youth hunt

Didnt get shot at but I also forgot it was youth weekend and as I was stalking through the woods with my gillie suite on, it hit me. And I was like ooooooooooohhh crap. I decided to glass a little longer before moving each time.
  17. I hear they made rage broadheads for just this situation. Doesnt matter where you hit them, a 3inch hole bleeds them out. Heck even a gut shot deer will eventually die. Eventually. If you can live with wounding and not finding a deer then shoot away. Heck I know people who have killed deer with recurves much further than that. And thats not bullsh---- either. But he also never found 90% of the deer he shot either.
  18. And lets not forget the LARGEST EVER TAX ON AMERICANS! OBAMA CARE!!
  19. Im not sure why you assume that. Its actually quite easy to kill any deer from the ground with a bow. It gets more difficult when you want to kill a specific deer. I had 5 within 20 yrds of me the other day. Never knew I was there till a gust of wind hit them in the face. I could have shot the spike or the 2 fawns at will. Unfortunatelly I was trying to kill the mama doe and had no shot. Put the wind in your face and start slowly stalking through the woods. But be ready because things can happen really quick.
  20. I'm sure his cousin would not have appreciated that.
  21. I take a wood burner and burn my name and address in the plastic on all sides and 2 places inside the camera. Someone wants it that bad they will have to make it really ugly with sand paper before they can re sell it.
  22. I havent been shot at , and I havent been photographed to my knowledge. I modified, shortened or removed the material on my bow arm and left chest so I dont have a problem drawing.
  23. I heard WNY chased it down and strangled it with his bare hands!! Those boys in WNY dont mess around, he's CRAZZZZZZYYYYY for a big buck!!
