Wouldnt want fat nurses!!! Vending machines are way overpriced anyhow. Ours at work have gone up 100% in 2 yrs. Use to cost 75cents for a candy bar. Now it $1.25 as of last week. Soda is now at $1.75.

Yeah thats what I do. Funy story, I grabbed a pod and pulled it off the stalk and got a little sap on my fingers. I opened the pod and pulled out the seeds and they all stuck to my fingers. Im standing out there flailing my hands around trying to rub them off. Ended up walking over to the creek and washing my hands.

Also I dont think shooting a tame deer would be poaching? Isnt that more destruction of private property? Selling deer pee and butchering for meat to sell is one thing. But making their racks as big as possible and then throwing them to the hunters for cash is kind of tasteless IMHO.

Been reading alot lately about wind and how it is effected by the terrain. Pretty interesting about thermals and updrafts and dead zones and how even a thick stand of trees or even trees with leaves on them can change wind direction 50 yrds past you. I took a few seeds and tossed them into the wind of my porch. They floated down across the yrd for 25 yrds heading south. As soon as they hit the creek they took a left turn and headed east. Wind is very interesting and frustrating!!!

I use milk weed seeds for a wind direction indicator. They are nice and light and go far on the wind and visible for a long distance and best of all its free. I just fill a small pull string pouch with them prior to the season and put them in a pocket in my butt pack and they last for longer than the season. Anyone else use this or do you use a commercial powder type indicator?

That would be stupid. Lets chase deer that are laying low and hiding from hunters around the woods to in front of hunters. I dont think anti's have an ounce of brain in there head.

I think it would be interesting to see how many " trophy " deer racks are on peoples walls shot behind a fence? I watched one on tv the other day with the owner riding around on a 4 wheeler pushing the deer around the enclosure for the hunter. The deer got to the fence and turned around and the guy shot it. Kind of made me a little sick that people would call that hunting. Just pure lazyness if you ask me. But atleast it keeps them from shooting deer from around my hunting areas so whatever. But unless were talking atleast 3000 acres and 4 ft fences its not hunting.

I would think 2" would be good enough. Your shooting a 9in target at 100 yrds or less most of the time. Not prarie dogs at 500 yrds. Shoot, big ole mossy horns steps out youll be all over that 9 in's anyhow.

My friend and I were just talking about this the other day. Apparentlly a 11 yr old boy and girl on his son's bus got caught with her mouth down south if you know what I mean. And all we could think of was, WHERE WERE THESE GIRLS WHEN WE WERE GROWING UP!!!!!.

And if your rattling make sure to use some buck urine. If a buck comes in and he doesnt see or smell another buck they might hang up out of range or leave completely. I have rattled up to 5 bucks in a day using buck urine. Half that or less without.

I cut a black sock up into a 4 in strip and attach a 4 ft string to it. I then wash it in baking soda. Hang outside to dry. I then spray ziplock bag with sent away and place outside to dry. Put on rubber gloves. I then tie a loop on end of string and place in plastic bag. Place half bottle or enough to soak strip with Tinks or any Doe in heat scent. Use only when you see bucks running around with nose to ground. Place on end of long stick and drag out away from your boot tracks. If deer hit the scent trail and turn and burn your scent trail is somehow contaminated with human scent. Throw everthing out and start again. I have had many a buck come in right up the trail with nose right in it sniffing away. Key is to keep it 100% free of human scent. Yes a deer can smell human scent through all that stench.
