20 year old deer?
-
well, I had a chance to try this stuff out......I put it on a few trees around my stand and had multiple deer come in, I watched them checking the wind and it appeared they were picking up the scent of the Ever Calm.....usually when I see deer checking the wind, it's a sign that they've got my scent and are about to get out of town, this time they just went back to feeding and eventually passed by my stand. I'll definitely use this stuff again.

with the distance a rifle bullet is capable of travelling, you would have to have a huge parcel of private land to be 100% sure of the bullet never leaving your property and striking an unintended target........safety is always a valid concern, but unfortunately you can never fully be 100% sure of most things in life.

I hope he's got the butcher's working overtime.....

yeah, if it was coyotes there probably wouldn't be much left at all.

yeah, people use it to mark their spots and then think nothing of leaving it after the season......after awhile it becomes trash no different than a plastic water bottle or candy wrapper left behind. I always clean up any trash I find, old marking tape and glow in the dark thumb tacks included.

throw the whole thing away? absolutely not, trim around it and butcher as usual......

you really can't to expect to see the exact ratio when you're in a hunting situation.....the ratio may be pretty close to what it should be, but that doesn't mean for every 2 doe you see that the next deer should be a buck.

not everyone has your upper body strength, some people have bad shoulders and need a crutch to lean on.....

the deafness is probably attributed to no hearing protection, not caliber.

I've used climbers as a hang on, just make sure you secure it with a ratchet strap or two......unless it's a bright shiny aluminum ladder I'd leave it.....maybe wash it with water and baking soda and hose it down real good before bringing it in.....the less people and activity around the area the better.

yes, and more than once

probably an urn full of ashes........

I wish these venison donation places would take names of people in need from people who know who they are......I don't donate anything because I enjoy the meat, but would gladly give it up to a local family who really needs it but is to proud to ask or stand in line at a food pantry.

I would call that a pretty good day.

http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/8305.html maybe this will help...different zones / areas have different regulations.

those inner loins are the first thing we eat....I just wish there was more of them. That's the filet mignon cut.

I just talked to the man upstairs for you.....tomorrow is the day.

get yourself in a spot so you can see a pretty good ways towards were you expect to see them, you don't want to be too hidden to the point that when you see them they're already on top of you......deer have a pretty short memory if not spooked too badly, if in doubt give it a days rest, but I wouldn't think twice about going to the same spot the next day. I would get ready as soon as I saw the deer coming and not wait until I decide if I'm gonna shoot to do so. I would say movement is more important than concealment.

how does it work as far as attracting deer, or is it's only purpose to make deer that are already in range feel like their in a safe are?
-
well, tomorrow is the big day.....any predictions?

we all make mistakes...it's how you came off describing it that was a little disturbing.
