A guy I know took one with a .35 Marlin. He had it mounted with a squirrel in it's mouth. Isn't a Ruger MKll a .22 pistol? I'm tempted to put that annoying song in here..."that's what the fox says"

Good luck upstate.

Ahhh the deadly Elite! Nice job

Nice mount. My compliments to your Grandpa. I am going to do something similar to the antlers I got this season.

Great Buck. Congrats!

I've seen this same debate raging on a LI gun forum. Here's a thought-If it's a great club and you compete in the woods for good spots and privacy, would you rally other people to join. Seems like it would only add to competition and frustration on an overcrowed tract of land. I hunt a bird club on LI and I am the only one on my field, no mushroom pickers, hikers, atv's at all. There is deer hunting there as well, but that is another type of membership that others have enjoyed.

Accuracy is what it is all about. Speed doesn't deliver accuracy, comfort does.

Elite Fan here. Good for you. I had stopped bowhunting years ago due to a shoulder injury. I bought an Elite Z28 3 years ago and fell in love with archery again, Amazing that you were about to pull up your bow line and call it a day and look how it ended. Nice!

It paid off alright! Nice Buck! congrats

Wow. Park that car and enjoy the rest of your birthday.

I've been checked 3 times hunting on the south shore. As others here said, they will check your plug and you better be all steel shot too.

I shoot a lot of indoor archery and 3-D also. I actually developed "tennis elbow" from pulling my arrows out of the backstop at the indoor range. They had just replaced their old target butts and the new ones were killing me. I tried the scorpion venom on the shafts but found it would get on my hands and I couldn't grip the arrow well to pull it. I happen to get a great deal on 2 doz. Easton FMJ's and now that is all I would ever consider. To me the different brands of carbon arrows are all similar, but the ability to easily pull my arrow from the target is priceless. I won't go back to the uncoated carbons again.

This ammo is still available. Aren't there any duckhunters on this site. -
Maybe someone from PETA can volunteer to accomodate the buck's breeding needs.

Thanks. I like to know those things. and it's plural LOL

I bought a pair of Danner Pronghorns for Upland bird hunting as I will walk about 4 miles on a hunt. I love them and recommend them. The cold has not been an issue for my feet. My hunting buddy just spent about $200 for a pair of insulated Muck boots that he really likes. If you are really concerned about cold, you may consider my duck hunting setup, which is rubber boots and neoprene socks. That is my answer to cold feet, and nothing has exposed me to more cold weather than duck hunting.

That is a great buck.

I just said this to my buddy on the phone. We hunted 4f on the opening weekend and we saw 2 bucks and no does. We always see does. A weird season for us.

Impressive rack. Nice buck!

Setting a trap for the next guy, huh?
