That was the most pathetic post game loss speech I've ever heard....... go hop in the shower, lol
-
Guys are already using trail cams that pass along "live time" streaming pics and video and nobody seems to give a rats azz about it, so what's the difference..... as a matter of fact, it's already been accepted as a technological breakthrough in some hunting circles. As much as I dislike it, this doesn't surprise me one bit.

LOL- now you know how I feel when I see an antler! It's almost sickening! Really cool perspective with the Go-Pro Sam! I couldn't help but watch the entire vid!

You know what they say.... an apple a day keeps the Dr. away....unless you screw yourself, lol
-
Don't forget....."where's growie?"

Of course this Is all speculation until it appears in an official regulations book Biz...or is at least officially announced in some way by our superiors.

New Video - Creepin' In
wooly replied to downwindoutdoors's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
Another quality vid DWO! That's a lot of freakin' gear to be hauling around to film that hunt... but that was some sweet footage covering all those angles! -
Way to build some momentum before green up! Did you guys get snowed on again? Congrats on your latest!
-
Happy Birthday fellow x-bower,lol!

Well stubby, those are some nice bucks first of all! Secondly, by the replies you received, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out that SOME bowhunters got a hard on for everybody...... including other bowhunters. To answer your original question without getting too involved..... not ALL bowhunters are like that, but I have run into quite a few that are, and understand where you're coming from! Don't let it bring you down. Hunt your own hunt and don't worry about the rest.

Haha- I was just poking fun now that it looks like this is close to being finalized. I don't care how anyone else handles this, or what kind of hunter you want to "brand" yourself as. I just know I plan on taking advantage of ALL the opportunities that present themselves with any legal weapons this fall.

I thought for sure that "true bowhunters" would embrace the additional level of challenge that comes with having more hunters in the woods...not run off to their secret place where things are easier. Hmmmm, I guess I was wrong, lol

Well, I was hoping to have a few new additions to the pile by the end of the weekend, but we ended up getting buried under another foot of slop last night. We never did get totally melted out last time, but I was seeing some progress out the back window so I shot up the hill to look around a few of the "hot spots". Not 150yds out the back door I found this little 3pt side laying right smack center of the path I hike whenever I climb up here. I probably stepped right on this fella a few days prior. Also adding two dead antlerless from earlier in the week. What a miserable season it's been so far... waiting for the next meltdown again! 3-28-14 Antlers- 5 Sets- 1 Dead bucks- 4 Dead doe/fawns- 10

Southern Erie Lawdwaz. Maybe they're more common than I thought.., but this is the first one I've ever seen around here. I'm usually pretty good at noticing stuff like that, but maybe I've somehow been missing them.
-
Now I really feel like a dumby.... thanks Pygmy, lol
-
Yep- I think you nailed it Ed! Looks like they're not overly common in this area, so this was a great sighting for me! http://www.dec.ny.gov/animals/7090.html

Thanks Eddie, that looks like it could be a strong possibility! No wonder I didn't recognize it...... I've never even heard of one of those! I'm not very good with birds.

I don't know what the heck kinda hawk this is, but the thing was almost snow white even on it's back, He caught me by surprise today with a low fly-bye, but I wasn't anticipating a bird in flight shot. He's been hanging around one of the goldenrod fields I like to hike, so hopefully I can get some closeer pics and find out what he is. Anybody know off the top of your head?

There's only one thing better than finding a nice fat 5pt like that......completing the set! Sweet finds man! Good to see some of this snow finally disappearing. -
That was THE BEST!
