  1. The Savage was not out when I bought mine. I hear they are super accurate. I really like these H&Rs though. Mine was 150 when I got it.
  2. Oh, and another point. The wind is your enemy. Not your friend with most sabots/slugs. It will move them a long way, especially after 100 yards.
  3. Yeah, I have the Ultra Slug Hunter in 20 gauge. I will only speak for my gun, it is pretty accurate. Slug guns are strange. Some people claim all kinds of accuracy with their gun, but I have seen some dismal performance at the range. I did go through plenty of ammo to find what would work with mine. The recoil with the limb saver slip on, I could shoot it all day.
  4. Oh, and ask them to do the same. And post that on the other forums. Jeez, tired.
  5. Ok, the number of people signing the petition has slowed after 100,000. Some of you said you posted the link on other forums. Most people are not on forums, so if not done so already, maybe we can each be responsible for a few more signatures. Email, your contact list, or for those stubborn, or lazy, people out there that agree, hold their hand while they do it. I think I can get 5 more. At least.
  6. I was going to say stew with all fresh ingredients. But I re read your post. I got nothing, I like good Venison, so I usually just eat steaks, burgers, chili, stew. Someday I will learn how to make a roast like my buddy. Cooks it in a toaster oven no less! Delicious!
  7. Another fan of Leupold. I dont think I will buy anything but from now on. (unless I win the lottery, then I will try one of those Swarovski's.) I believe Zeiss makes an affordable scope, Conquest maybe? No personal experience with it though. Just never heard of anything bad about them.
  8. Yeah, ok. No one, or anything is immune to "flaws." But it is clear you want to bash cops at every opportunity. That is fine. I am not here (on this site) to talk about Law enforcement, cops or anything pertaining to that. When I see a post on that subject that is errornous, I might reply. But I am not going to be baited by you, or your buddy, who do not like LEO's. That is all. YOU carry on.
  9. Ah, ok. Sorry to dig that up. I actually meant your hubby as "old man." But thats ok.
  10. ppl? I will take it as no? What does he think of your hunting obsession? I do not use obsession in a derogatory way at all.
  11. Man, you are the most huntingest lady I "know." lol. Your old man hunts too?
  12. I do not think the NYPD has any jurisdiction to ask anyone on a public street for their ID, in DC. I could very well be wrong if they were deputized wiith some local authority. The physically standing in the way, well thats what any bodyguard would do. As far as the point being made, I get it. The "elite," in this country will always be well protected. Geno, I agree, sometimes the ones "on our side" dont always put us in the most favorable light.
  13. Indeed they have some horrific reviews. (Some of the reviews I noticed are gone) I ordered large trees, and yet my experience with them was good. I received my trees right on time, and packaged well. Looking to get some Enterprise this season. Maybe one or two..It is not the price of the trees, but protecting them. The fencing is getting expensive!
  14. Hmm, even the ones on this forum? Interesting.
  15. I hope it is overturned. But doubtful. California as an example. I hope I am wrong.
  16. Romney caught crap for the 47% comment. Everyone knows it is true though. Strange right? No fan of Romney either though, the lesser of two evils..Totally disgusted with all of our so called leaders and politicians. Oh, on the original post? I would love to see that in writing, or the person come forward. But the bottom line? No, I do not believe our military would fire on citizens for protesting. I know it happened before. Was that the 60's? Dont recall. I am mostly impessed with our new active duty personell, and "new" veterans. We have a lot on here. Mistakes, incidents, abuses, on a limited scale, will always happen. Hopefully on a decline.
  17. Thank you Mr. Greybeard! Very interesting! Had a fox "call" in reverse. Twice. Ever hear them scream like a woman being murdered? (when they mate I believe) Scare the crap out of ya. Then, last year at the camp, One night I turned all the lights out for some star gazing. I am just standing there in my driveway, its really quiet, and dark. Beer and a flashlight in my hands. Then I notice an outline of something walking in the street and it makes a left into my driveway. I am like WHAT IS THAT? (Now it is coming right at me) I aim the flashlight at it and turn it on. It was a fox who proceeded to let out the loudest deep growl. Beer went flying...lol. He turned tail, but not before letting me know his displeasure of me hiding in the dark! I had no idea that they growled like that.
  18. I will take it for what it is worth. A Dec 15th story. What officials, names? Did they know what they were talking about, or just someone "related" to the investigation? Like I said, if it was just handguns, why could "they" (who?) just use that to ban handguns?
  19. It is a little frustrating going in circles. The police already stated what happened. The "theories" that come out after that, will never be put to rest. Once one is debuncked, another will be "found." I am sad, because much of this makes us (second amendment supporters) look foolish to the public. Like Alex Jones did on Piers Morgan, with his silliness on 911. He had a great interview going, then BAM! He is all of a sudden a nutcase. And thats what people got from that interview, even though he made some valid points.
  20. Who covered it up? That is the question. So you really think there is a cover up going on? Instead of a careful investigation that treads lightly for the sake of the families involved? Who is covering it up? The State Police?
  21. It is simply procurement requirement of a Federal LEO agency. (to put in writing why they need it.) Of course an AR can be used for defense. You are confusing an Agencies procurement of certain weapons, whith the overzealous politicians that are trying to infringe on our second amendment.
