I read way more than I post. That said, I read a lot of Bubba's threads on here and on Greybeard forums I think. He does have a lot of knowledge on muzzle loading. I'll say this, don't get actually mad at someone's posts/response. There are jackwagons that will try to just get a rise out of ya. Does not pay, why bother. I like this site because some here are way more knowledgeable than me, and will try to steer you in the right direction. And that is (for me) people who frequent the QDM Land forum.

Antler Restriction Bill?
Ford replied to NYBuckHunter27's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Wow, I had no idea. My place is in 7m. Cool. There are people passionate on either side. I was on the fence, leaning to no AR's. I have changed my mind. And I understand the other side's view. I think there were some threads here that got heated over it. But I like it, I have my reasons, all the obvious ones. -
I do know one thing, If you piss on a piece of moss for four days in a row, it will die. (and a dandelion)

Shoot, got lots of porcupines. Never seen a Fisher. There most certainly may be some around though. Must shoot more porcupines...Little bastards.

Lol, can you say redneck...Nothing wrong with that. I like when his wife says "I am going in, I feel itchy".. Good stuff.

Late Planting the plots......

What a weird spring this was. I wanted to plant some Egyptian wheat, but it was either windy or raining when I had the chance. -
Ok. S 240.33 AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER. A PERSON IS GUILTY OF AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER WHEN, (WITH THE INTENT TO HARASS, ANNOY, THREATEN OR ALARM A PERSON WHOM HE OR SHE KNOWS OR REASONABLY SHOULD KNOW TO BE A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER ENGAGED IN THE COURSE OF PERFORMING HIS OR HER OFFICIAL DUTIES), HE OR SHE STRIKES, SHOVES, KICKS OR OTHERWISE SUBJECTS SUCH PERSON TO PHYSICAL CONTACT. AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT OF A POLICE OFFICER OR PEACE OFFICER IS A CLASS E FELONY. It is quite clear. Is it a good law? Who knows. I don't really care. Just pointing it out.
-
No. I think we have enough laws, but you did not read it correctly. There must be a physical altercation.
-
No, there has to be physical contact.

I saw your beaver dam photos. I thought they were great. I say another cam...

Another thumbs up for the BH 209.

Those shoot great out of my gun. What they get ya for 5 boxes?

Hofstra Shooting investigation - college girl shot by cop

A very sad tragedy. That said, I like some of the Monday morning quarterbacking...Brilliant. And some peoples ignorance on use of force policy regarding LEO's is well, just ignorant. It is unfortunate. The whole thing. -
I hope what you heard is right! Seems to get a little colder at my place for some reason, maybe because it is a little higher than the surrounding land.
-
I think so, neighbor said it was a hard frost. We will see. I hope not, since last year was a bust. The year before that was ridiculous though, I was literally tripping over all the apples. They were floating down the run off ditch next to my driveway. Does not really help my hunting though, as there are apple trees on all the surrounding properties. But certainly feeds the wildlife. And that's why I like planting late season annuals as well. Something to eat when the apples are gone.
-
One of the larger ones. All those Blossoms probably got whacked. Was twenty something degrees last night. I thought we would get by with no late frost this year....Oh well.
-
They were fenced individually, but a pain to get into each one and work. That's four foot fencing with two foot of chicken wire at the bottom, even though it is hard to tell in that photo. Seems to do the trick, been that way since last summer.

66 Trees later and a very SORE Heel

Nice! -
You have to fence them. Young apple trees, a delicacy to deer. I fenced mine, and a deer still got in. Luckily, they just ate the leaves and some branches that were low. I reinforced it after that, and no problems so far..

Be careful for what you wish for.. I am all for choice and freedom to choose, but I wish my hunting area was still shotgun. There are some great rifled shotguns out there now as well. If I had a spread that called for long shots, I guess I would be thinking differently.
-
Not going there...lol.
-
Had some by the road, near the water. Not really biting yet, but annoying...
-
It is false. You can swim around with filled up waders, no problem, even makes you float a little better. Getting out of the water is another story.
