If it’s an AR you cannot have any banned feature unless the mag is pinned. That includes grip and collapsible stock. Yes it’s assured. Any semi hunting rifle can do the same thing as an AR with a pistol grip and collapsible stock. The wisdom of our safe act.

Shockwave is not a semi. I think this falls in the AR category. So if barrel is under 16 then it’s an ar pistol For which I don’t know the rules. If it’s 16 or longer, no pistol grip, no collapsible stock and no threaded muzzle and you are good. Or pin the mag with one or more of those features. My best guess.

I assume it’s the same as a rifle. I know I can buy a 410 upper and put it on one of my lowers.

Unless shotguns are different and assuming that muzzle is not threaded, it should be legal if you pin the mag or have a Thordsen stock installed.

Sound like culver knows this better. Features that I saw were collapsing stock and pistol grip. Maybe it’s not a collapsible stock but definitely a pistol grip

Either featureless or pinned and 16” barrel. Don’t know whether a shorter is legal as a pistol. That has two features so it would have to be pinned but barrel looks shorter than 16”.

Just picked up some snow camo and bought bibs and a parka from windfowler. Very reasonable on sale - total around $150. I am quite surprised at the quality. Its a great soft and quiet exterior, comfortable and supposed to be wind and waterproof. Seems like it will be plenty warm. I haven't put it through its paces so I will hold judgment on whether it is what it claims to be, but for the price, my initial impressions are: WOW this is some nice cold weather gear at any price let alone what I think is fairly inexpensive for cold weather hunting outer layers. Not sure if anyone else has these outer layers but would love to hear from anyone that has been using them. Amazons reviews are great.

Some debate over whether it satisfies the safe act. I have a couple I am not using if you want one at a discount. They are a cool system.

I take it you are pinning the mag? I had no issue with a pinned mag, but I did recently move to featureless with the thordsen. I still like the pistol grip better, but its a decent compromise when you are constantly loading and unloading to move from stand to stand when hunting dogs.

All of my ARs have timney and they are great. 2 are single stage and 2 are 2 stage. But, I hear really good things about the Larue trigger and its under $100.

Going to tell my Guatemalan wife it’s the special day in the US when wives do WHATEVER a husband asks of them which is immediately followed by a week long hunting trip out of state. Must be celebrated every year. It’s tradition after all.

Why did I know that this meant you would not be spending time with your wife. You guys are tough on your significant others. I must confess, mine is a blessing. I had reservations for tomorrow and she told me to cancel as she was fine hanging home with the kids. I will skip Friday night hunts though.

Makes those shots when they show from an unexpected place a little scary and difficult to communicate when one is coming in. Tough with that many people though. I like the way Andrew sets us up being a few feet away with one covering one side and the other covering the other side. Shots are a little loud though. I haven't hunted with three shooters yet.

Treeguy and I are supposed to be prepared for a follow up on the other's shot if there is a miss. That said, until now it has generally been the first shooter banging away as the dog runs if there is a miss. But now with 2 thermals running we will get it down - eventually. lol 80 and 90lbs aren't yotes, those are wolves. If true, those are Andre the Giants of yotes.
