30 yds from stand I smelled a very rutty buck. 10yds he sees me and high tails it. Not sure if he was bedded but was only a few yards from stand. Take it as a good sign. Maybe bump and dump? -

Blowing pretty good but not so bad I won’t hunt. But the neighbors tree that blew over in front of my driveway might disagree. -
Happy birthday greensider and Treeguy

Good luck. -
I only ask to be paid a fair day's wage for a fair hour of work. Kidding of course. I am a simple paid by the hour service provider.

anyone else going out tomorrow with the wind predicted in the morning? May try to find protected lowland and give it a shot. No point staying home. -
I represented a considerable number of folks that were on the verge of retiring or retired that lost 1/2 of their savings due to imprudent investment advice during that 2008 year. Felt bad for them. But we did recover a good portion back. I would happily sign up for 10% from now until I retire. I just think that's being a bit too optimistic.

We have had some good years recently, but you weren't around when things tanked in 2007-2008. Most of the experts are saying that we are not likely to see 10-15% returns for the near future. In any event, the only thing I was really pointing out was that the 12k purchase price was not quite accurate but I certainly don't disagree that the free use of money is a good thing if one is careful. Looking long term, I like to assume a 7-8% market return. If its higher, I will happily take it.

Average return from 1957-2018 on the S&P 500 is 7.96%

You don't hold the 30k as you are paying down the vehicle Larry - its being used to pay down the vehicle. My Vanguard aggressive fund returned 6.9% over the last 5 years. If you are averaging 10% a year for the last 5, please give me the scoop.

Don't worry, I kept it and sold it to a spam broker

Some people just refuse to listen to good advice. Shake and bake baby. As my great uncle said often with his Italian accent "I keep telling them what to do but they just won't listen." and he was serious. lol

Think your math is off a bit there Biz. You don't hold the full 30k for 5 years. And 10% is one heck of a return today. But you would be a good car salesman.

when I used a climber, I always used a tow rope

Kind of inconsistent here Dan

You should see the look on the young Victoria Secrets salesgirl's face when I ask for some in 4xl.

I was being sarcastic. I thought a fellow Webstonian would catch that Belo!

Sure - for your wife - just like the silk panties you wear as base layers.

Apparently you have not had one jump the string. They are quick for being so large.

How does one shoot out of the window if its not cocked? I am sooo confused?
-
Fair enough. @treeguy will advance it for me and I will pay him when I see him next. Thanks Andrew.

$125k used?
-
Would only use it as a knock around hunting watch.

Does anyone really buy a $244k watch on the internet, let alone pay for shipping.
