Sighting in the new bow at 30, 40 and 50. First guess was money on 30. Move the target to 40 and shots low so I go back to adjust pins twice more. On to 50. As I sit on my deck to adjust pin for best guess, a basket rack 8pt (beautiful tall rack) comes walking down the yards next to the field and right into my yard less than 20yds from deck. Sees me and I start taking to him. Sure enough he walks down my shooting lane and starts sniffing the target. I had to get a bit more firm with him. GET OUT OF THE WAY! By the way, he must like my cologne as he came in from dead down wind. Might be wearing tommy choo cologne in the stand! no phone so no pics.

grow me an ornamental cherry for the front yard! Bigger profit.

Maybe I am becoming a bit too picky, but the biggest buck I have on cam body wise (and he is stout) has a smallish rack. Most of the others look like 2yr or maybe 3yr olds to me or at least not what I am hoping for. The 7 above is a good example - decent but not an opening day kill. We will see. Just having fun is the goal. I might photo hunt unless I see a jaw dropper or maybe I will change my mind. lol

I have the Mohave pro guide BX3 HD - great binos and picked them up new for only $300 (normally around 600 I think). I had zeiss conquest at the time and found the BX3 just as good. I sold the zeiss and pocketed the difference.

I hate sitting in heat, but I am torn. Going to pull cams one more time to see if I can gather any patterns on anything worthwhile and then decide. I may just do a quick morning hunt Tuesday and then take Friday off. The weather looks so much better.

rising and falling pressure which occurs as a storm front comes and goes results in more movement is what I always heard. Preference is generally toward higher pressure for movement though - 30 plus. High pressure from north brings cooler weather which is optimal. IE - hunt before and after high pressure front from north. I hunt whenever I have time.
