  1. I am still befuddled how bad I am at rolling a ball down a 3 foot lane.
  2. Decided that the weather is not conducive to hunting tomorrow. Will scout for fall turkeys with Bill at Tack's place. Maybe we will see you Tacks.
  3. somebody has mentally checked out already for tomorrow's opener
  4. search for some of those early Law hero photos ... like some of us, he has definitely grown since then
  5. Thanks for the chuckle Biz. If you wait long enough, everything comes back in style. That's also why Law has been holding on to the bell bottoms he outgrew in 1977.
  6. where are the pics from the two cuddeback systems? Not holding back are we? lol
  7. Be careful to rotate Cory. Most don't recommend brassicas more than 2 consecutive years. Clover is a nice alternative to add nitrogen back to soil.
  8. The saddle itself is likely a good cruising area due to the topo. Only problem with hunting them in my experience is erratic winds. But one of our better stands is at the base of a saddle. You have to live with the risk of swirling winds.
  9. I think so. If you can pin point where the doe are bedding, the bucks will usually cruise downwind of that area on lighter trails to scent check. See if you can find those trails and set up just downwind of the trails. Absent pressure pushing them out, doe will tend to stay put through the season for the most part so you should be in the vicinity.
  10. I am surprised they are not hitting the plots now. Both my brassica and clover plots are mowed down. Perhaps the deer just need time to find them and perhaps there is another preferred source as Grampy mentioned. When that goes away, the deer will come. Hopefully those brassica roots are like gold come late season.
  11. So let’s ask @pygmy, is the encore or AR uglier? Looking forward to testing one or two on deer myself John. Thinking 6.8 and creedmore
  12. I like the high and tight buck. Some nice options there!
  13. Several of my better stands are close to a road. Doesn’t bother deer or me in the least. Take advantage!
  14. He took a lot of heat about the price of his saws but they are solid with great customer service. Met him once at the PA outdoor show. He and his wife were very pleasant. Sad accident.
  15. Winterizer spread. Hopefully last trim done and just a few more cuts.
  16. Yep. No one that I know would pass on him. Chased my best buck for 3 seasons. This is the year for you!
  17. That one with all the junk would have me excited. Good luck!
  18. Few boys from my place. Ran our of space on cards by sept 16. But I know they are around. Two mirror image 9s and an 8.
  19. Though you did beans with fence. Different plot?
  20. Especially if the pic is next to my shed and I am sporting a yellow polo, jeans and some vans.
