  1. Not sure of whom you speak, but I definitely want to hunt with Grampy again!
  2. Ummmm ..... not sure I would have posted that one PHADE! And yes it made me want to toss my cookies since I am now an observer. Leave him for gun - only fair. lol Just kidding, be thrilled if you knock him down. Free dinner!
  3. While being focused to spot deer is important no doubt, I do like the social aspect of being able to text with your buddies. Could I miss an opportunity - yep. So one needs to be careful but I still take the risk. It keeps me occupied when I start getting bored which means more time in the stand.
  4. It seems like the conscientious hunter will take those lost deer harder than most and they tend to stick in our memories. You gave it everything in terms of trying to recover. That's all you can do. Shoot at enough deer with either bow or gun, you will lose one or more. I still vividly remember 2 doe hit with my bow that I never recovered. One first year hunting that was gut shot (and I did everything possible including calling deer search) and another than was high and back with little penetration. I knew the first was dead but bumped it after leaving it overnight and the other I am 90% sure is still running today. Its a tough thing to forget but that's good - keeps you focused on high odds shots. Move on and put one down.
  5. Happy BDay Jason. Knock down a birthday buck.
  6. Good luck with your target Biz. Looks like morning movement. Soon they should be a bit later to bed.
  7. Just let the dog out. Seems like a great morning to be in the stand. Good fortunes to you all today!
  8. We saw a two year old pushing a doe with a fawn week one. I think the older guys wait a bit longer. I don’t use drags or attractants so can’t comment on that.
  9. Nope. Maybe something on cams we haven’t checked but we did not know about him Biz.
  10. Let us know how bad it gets. Thinking of a pm hunt and will have your weather in an hour.
  11. Scrapes were opening up here as of this morning and we saw a second solid buck in addition the one shot. Tarsal gland was stained. Keep at it. Might be some early chasing at least around 8h.
  12. I would be really curious on this one. Bet he is 7, 8 or more. Best 80” buck I ever had in my hand.
  13. We are blessed with a few good properties and do our best. No guarantees but we do ok. Now to get Phades tag punched. Phade stop passing. Lol
  14. I am with buckmaster. Older buck and probably 170 or more dressed.
  15. Not really. Video about 10 min before he was shot. Unique buck for sure.
  16. Hard to describe the mass on this crazy ole 4pt. Pearling 2/3 up cow horn. Congrats David.
  17. team confused scores again. Worlds larget and oldest 4pt. Congrats to our friend David. Huge mass and browtines. Definitely on way down as an old buck.
  18. Just saw a falcon swoop in grab a squirrel and fly off. Startled me. About 20yds away. Pretty cool
