    Guys can be very secretive about both big bucks killed and even worse, those on camera not yet killed. Posting the lesser bucks is no big deal. But I have a hard time believing we have the same number or ratio of big bucks as the Midwest states.

    leeward side of the big ridges 1/3 from top - saddles, pinches and points. I would scout those ridges dead center north. 10 oclock from your no. 2.

    A few years ago a friend of mine started deer hunting. Firs thing he did was buy a 30-06. After 1st season he sold it in favor of a slug gun realizing many of the areas around here are shotgun only. Slug gun can be used in both but not vice versa.

So I estimated on greatest spread, the tines not measured, main beams and mass and used other measurements given. 132.5

    Can't be too bummed moho, you just haven't had enough time to hunt. It happens and it only takes the single right sit to turn things around. Good for you on putting family first!

    Killed my first gun buck with a borrowed smooth bore open sites. That was only because I loaned an older gentlemen my savage 220 with a scope on opening day. Only deer I ever killed with an open sighted smooth bore. Come to think of it, its the only animal I have killed with a smooth bore - damn uncooperative turkey.
