  1. Good luck Biz. Stinks that you can't get time off in Nov., but I realize that's a busy time of year to make/exceed budget!
  2. CNC machined - then again, they may have those in metal shop by now. When I took metal shop, I spot welded a lock together. Wonder what happened to that? It was only 35years ago.
  3. I don't want to go with too big of a head as I am afraid on a less that stellar release, the BHs will cause the arrow to plane. This is kind of a happy medium.
  4. 48lbs - total arrow weight is 692g. Slow (like 170fps) but deadly if I do my part. Grow mocked my draw weight (not really) as she prefers 60lb recurves.
  5. Going to try some 3 blades. 2 blades have worked fine but a little more blood to follow wouldn't hurt either. Wish they were a bit sharper from the package. Got some sharpening to do.
  6. Already have 30 hours in stands. Not bad considering this horrible heat. Then again, we have both killed the same number of deer this season.
  7. I have off from Nov. 2-13 and it has always been a solid time, but the weather is not cooperating this year for sure. Good luck in Nebraska. Sounds fun!
  8. I will grab 2 more, but the way this year is shaping up, not sure they will be used. Seeing much fewer deer in general. Who knows, maybe the season will make a hard turn around. Or maybe I used too many DMPs in the past. lol
  9. You guys make me feel old. I graduated HS in 88.
  10. Are we ever going to get a real cold snap? C'mon now!
  11. You also have the bear in the tree problem. Seriously, you should be fine. You will know if you get busted. Like grampy said, screw some extra branches in behind you and wear open pattern camo.
  12. If you think the world owes you, real competition is bad as everyone is a winner, don't like to work very hard, and cant do the simplest of home improvement tasks, you just may be a millennial. Kidding, kind of.
  13. Not great but we have similar stands and kill deer from them. Probably helps if you are skinny.
  14. Back at the office arriving the same time that the millennials do every day. Lol
  15. Cmon Larry. If raging infernos don't scare you, I know an unreasonable DEC officer won't.
  16. You're right tacks. My bad. It probably wasn't moms leg hanging out of the coyotes mouth we have a pic of 75yds from here. Lol
  17. Absolutely recommended. Inexpensive. Highly adjustable and comfortable. I like that you can adjust it to hold the binos firmly to your side (out of the way when shooting) and still easily pull them up to glass. This purchase ensures I will bring my binos when hunting. I forget the Harness is on but binos are always ready to use.
  18. Have seen this little fawn 2x without mom. Mom must have been taken out by a coyote or car.
  19. I have heard the braided rope works better than trimmer line or is at least quieter but never used either.
  20. Decided to be a bit late to work and hunt until 8:30. Beautiful morning.
  21. He gets a big boy you will be happier than your own buck.
  22. Send his twin my way please! Congrats.
  23. Since my job is dealing with statutes and regulations at times (and many are not perfectly worded), I will simply offer the following canons of interpretation when a statute or regulation is ambiguous. Use them as you will: Courts, "determine legislative intent by examining not only the literal words of the statute, but also the reasonableness of proposed constructions, the public policy behind the statute, and its legislative history." "When the language of a statute is ambiguous, Courts must consider the social and economic results which would be effectuated by a decision on the meaning of the statute." Statutes should be given a, "reasonable and practical interpretation, in accord with common sense." Not my words, but pretty well point on in my experience. That said, this seems to be much ado about nothing really. How many people want to carry 2 weapons. Not me!
