  1. Selling a bunch of archery stuff on archery talk but figured I would post this bow here. It's in great condition and a very quiet, vibration free shooter. Fast too. Includes k-tech string stop, matching side plates, sling and peep. I have both 30" and 28" mods for it happy to install either for the buyer. $495tyd with the QAD HDX rest or $440 without. It's a good deal in my opinion. Will text more photos if interested
  2. Good time length for June. Hope he turns out to be P&Y for you. Good luck.
  3. I ask Phade to jump up and down on them. If he falls, we replace the stand. Its tough to do, especially with hang-ons. You won't know the coated cables are bad until they go. That's why we generally stick with all metal ladder stands. The inspection is done pre-season when we replace straps. Doesn't mean a weld won't break but that could happen with a new stand. That's why we should all tie in.
  4. I doubt most people that bought land for the primary purpose of recreational hunting will be inclined to open it to the public for any incentive within reason (happy to open it if you pay me twice what I paid for it). Those that own land for other primary reasons such as farming may be more inclined to do so. As Phade suggested, that would be a better target audience.
  5. I am not interested in opening my land to others. There is a reason I bought my own little piece - why buy the land to then make it public. That said, I think Phade has a good idea. Farmers may be more willing if its to save crops.
  6. Weird to see them running around late morning, no?
  7. Yep - quit claim deed will do it. You are only receiving whatever interest your friend has and subject to liens and encumbrances.
  8. Just caught this phade. Its amazing that facial scars make me even more attractive. Who would have guessed. lol
  9. BTW - Steve B makes a mean string and quiet!
  10. Last year I took 2 deer with a barebow recurve. First was a das dalaa and second was an old bear Kodiak magnum both 50lbs at 28". This year I will be hunting with a black widow pchx with the same DW. I typically shoot FMJs that come in at about 13gpp, using 200g german kinetic heads. Last year I shot strickland helix single bevel heads. What are you planning?
  11. Grow has a 36 hour day and apparently the energy to use all of it. Bet those extra hours help during hunting season.
  12. In the interests of always being correct, I hereby retract my last guess and now say that its a fuzzy picture of a mammal.
  13. Coyote with a tail problem (mange) or a deer with short ears. Photos are pretty fuzzy. Take your pick.
  14. Wow - that's a lot of work. Good for your parents!

  16. Good for you Law. My workout is only 20 minutes with a 42" rider and 1/3 acre lot. The walk to the shed is gruelling though.
  17. Culver should know! I like the idea about ripping up plywood. No concerns on cracking once properly leveled.
  18. Floor leveler - see lowes or home depot. Like concrete specifically but used to level floors.
  19. Nah, I gave them to David. He might have though.
  20. Some like to tinker Grow. Just like most decent hunting ammo will be fine in any gun at most hunting ranges, some are better than others. Some people try to optimize and others just pull a box off the shelf. Both can kill deer. Changes in arrow weight, spine and tip weight has a much greater impact on single string bows than compounds in my experience. Seems like you devote more time to your property management. Same thing. You could kill deer either way there I bet, but you want to optimize.
  21. Compound is 80 and recurves are both in the 52-53lbs at my DL. Not the fastest, but hit like a tank. IMO, if I am off in estimating yardage (benefit of a light arrow) I will still have a bad shot even with light arrows at any distance beyond 30yds. Inside 30, it makes little difference.
  22. Shooting 7.5 gpp (not gpi) from my compound and around 13gpp from the recurves. I like heavy arrows.
