  1. I am certainly no expert, but everything I have read suggests that less calling is better. I think once they respond, a few purs or yelps and wait quietly. You may have called just the perfect amount. I only mention it. I too would be calling hard if the bird is leaving your ground. Good luck.
  2. This one has rotary clip and safety on lever. Still may buy it. Looks like a fun gun.
  3. You may be right John. See: http://www.socialmediaexaminer.com/copyright-fair-use-and-how-it-works-for-online-images/
  4. I am not an expert on copyright laws, but B-low is right in a general sense. There are exceptions where copyrighted material can be used without liability and those involve acts that are generally not profit motivated (fair use for education, etc.) Regardless, asking is the nice/right thing to do - legal rights aside.
  5. As I am researching more, it seems like finding factory ammo may be an issue. I don't reload so it may not be the best choice.
  6. I think the problem is all those big bucks you strap to the hood and drive around for hours on end showing off. That would be fine in a carpeted bed sissy truck, but not a dodge.
  7. I have been itching to acquire a lever action and I have a friend that offered me this rifle. Its an early 1950s model in excellent condition. I would plan to use it open sight for deer (maybe 100-117g). Any thoughts, experiences, comments, etc. are appreciated. I know I can buy a new Marlin 336 in .30-30 cheaper, but I hear there were some real issues with the quality of these guns since remington took over.
  8. I would have laughed and said "nice photo" but then again, Phade gave our best trail cam shot last year to Covert to use on its website. Probably would have been nice to ask first and there are some on here that are pretty serious about trying to catch really unbelieveably nice shots (magazine type photos) so I can see why they may be ticked if it was used without permission. You are welcome to use any photos I post if you like. lol Just apologize and move on - one of those simple misunderstandings and you have removed it. He didn't make it a public dispute so you really shouldn't either.
  9. That would be true for any string stop.
  10. Ahhh - $8k makes more sense
  11. That surprises me, but I haven't researched it. Good luck with your decision.
  12. My buddy has a 2002 and loves it. Still uses it reguarly with well over 100k and no major issues. I agree that you need to have it checked over. If it sat for long periods, seals dry out and crack resulting in leaks. I doubt it was driven regularly with those few miles. Just saw the price. $16k is a ton for a 12 year old avalanche IMHO.
  13. The k-tech stops are supposed to be excellent for noise reduction. Don't know anything about the ZVT but question how it can increase fps.
  14. I have two primos blind luck blinds and they are spacious enough and sturdy. That said, those big mike blinds look even better.
  15. Another cool connection in youth season. Well done
  16. Good luck Rick. Hope you get her that first thunderchicken.
  17. Culver, how exclusive is your club? Do they let sissy truck driver's in?
  18. LOL - didn't know there was a prior thread and Lawdaz, I don't drink anymore, but consumed a fair amount of the MD2020 in my college days. I though it was like a protein supplement back then.
