    Deer like edges aka transition areas be it swamp, woods or fields. Open hardwoods is tougher especially if the topography is flat. Scout it out. Perhaps your friend would let you hunt it this year to help make a decision.

    Bit too mucky in this area for scrapes. I tend to find them in the dryer sections. but yes lots of good trails. Picking the right one is the tough part.
