  1. Better do the speed limit through corfu. unless you learn all their hiding places lol
  2. If your sitting over a food plot or field have someone drive up to the plot on a four wheeler/truck or farm equipment, the deer will hear the noise and run off prolly just inside of the woodline. They are used to hearing these noises and they will come back the next night to feed.
  3. Possiably a even bigger buck out there. Maybe grandpa.
  4. Eliminate your torque on the bow. Dont miss that buck of a lifetime.$50.00 firm! the orginal price can be see on the website. Bought it less than a month ago. No need for it anymore but a very nice product!
  5. ALABAMA — Ashley Stachowski couldn’t believe her eyes as she gazed down from her perch on a tree stand on her “Grandpa” Blew’s farm. It was 8 a.m. Saturday when the 16-year-old daughter of Henry and Merry Stachowski of the town of Batavia and granddaughter of Bob and Rebecca Blew of the town of Alabama saw a piebald deer only about 11 yards away. The Batavia High School junior quickly texted her dad, hunting in another part of the field, and he texted back, “Is it a buck.” By then, she had already downed it with her bow and arrow. It was an eight-point buck, and the first deer for the teenager, who is hunting in her third season. “At first, I thought it was a cow,” Ashley said. “So I put my rangefinder on it and saw the antlers.” With her dad, Ashley was also hunting with her cousin Derrick Harris, "Bumpa" Henry Stachowski and a friend, Joey Baker, on Blew’s farm on Lewiston Road. “There’s nothing as exciting as seeing your daughter get her first deer,” said her dad Henry, who has been hunting since he was 18. “You go a lot of years before you see something like this one.” The family enjoy eating venison and had planned to have the head mounted as a souvenir for Ashley. Taxidermist Jeff Fletcher of Corfu, however, said because of the unusual color, they should have the full body mounted. “I think that’s what we’ll probably do,” her dad said. Fletcher also said the chances of seeing a piebald deer2 1/2 years old are one in 10,000.
  6. Mossberg 12ga 500 Turkey and Bird barrel. Includes full and improved chokes with choke tube wrench, i beleive modified is already in the bird barrel. Great Condition still in original packaging ( as pictured). Realtree AP camo. Selling because they were bought as a package deal with the gun but have no need for these barrels.
  7. If your kickin that many deer you should prolly wait to go in at first light or just hunt it in the evenings. Have someone pick you up in a vehicle if you cannot get out of your stands after legal shooting light this way you will not clear the field and make deer aware of your stands.
  8. Same situation as you, during the midday when not hunting i keep my clothes in the barn and than before going out sometimes i walk through the manure to act as a cover, i mean think about it all farmers spread sometype of manure on the fields the deer have to be used to smelling it. Who knows if it works but its cheap and with 5 horses we have alot of it lol.
  9. The funnie part is one of the members on this site stated that he had a deer farm near where this deer was reportdly taken.
  10. Buckscore.com.....gives ya a solid estimate
  11. Youths with guns is the topic and dependin what zone you hunt this youth weekend wont effect your turkey hunting. And bowhunters could say your turkey hunting affects their deer hunting...guys walking around calling and possiably shooting a shotgun.
  12. Trying the 3 blade grim reaper whitetail specials this year, practice head seems to fly true just like my field pts. Have read mixed reviews on these broadheads, waiting to see the real results on a deer of my own.
  13. Hey guys, new to the site and looking for from opinions from guys around the state. Has anyone had any luck with mock scrapes? either killing a deer because of one or just with the use of a trail camera. I have heard the Drave Grigger by Code Blue has been a successful product for alot of guys. Thanks guys!
  14. I think some guys are going to out and grab any 14-15 year old they know and take them or just their license and use it to fill a tag on a big buck. Deer are most vulenerable right now because of summer patterns. Sit in a field with a shotgun or rifle and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel. You will see some big bucks taken during that weekend, especaily if the weather cools down some. NYS wanted the money from this now (license sales) and will use it in the future to thier advantage(crossbow season), bowhunters better stay aware!
