CVA Muzzleloader Accura V2 vs Optima and many?
ATbuckhunter replied to hueyjazz's topic in Muzzleloaders
I have the accura and I love it. I prefer it to the optima, but theres nothing wrong with it. I just liked that it felt better when U shouldered it, but the optima is pretty damn good too -
I know, thats why I said our lol

It says valid sept 1st-August 31st. What the person was refering too was the first year they had an early bear season in the southern tier
-
And some of the biggest bucks to boot too. Only thing upstate has on us is body size

He's just rooting against our own team at this point

The no DMP part sucks. We could really rack it up on the island lol

What pair of insulated boots would you suggest I get? Ive had my current pair of boots for the last 10 years, but the last couple years its been letting a lot of water in when the grass is wet or walking in snow. I was looking at the kenetrek mountain 1000's and im seriously considering them, but I certainly wouldnt mind a pair that would cost less. Needs to be at least 800 grams of insulation and water proof

Im in for team 1. Sucks DMP's wont be valid though, but can this extend till the end of the january muzzleloader season?

Switching to Fixed Blade with new string
ATbuckhunter replied to UpStateRedNeck's topic in Bow Hunting
That was one of the problems. I wasnt having consistent preformance on similar shots. I just dont have the confidence on a less than ideal shot (but still decent) as I once had. All the deer that I hit well dropped very quickly, I will admit that. -

Thats also one of the things, im shooting a light arrow. Im shooting a 405 grain arrow (with broadhead) at the moment. Next year im uping in spine and putting 200 grains of weight up front. I cant say Ive had "bad" preformance, just don't have the confidense that I feel is cruical for bowhunting -

Through the ribs. I think it busted 1 or 2 ribs, but one blade bent and the other broke off. I was shooting the hypodermics -

The buck I shot last year went through, but not a complete pass through. It went about 3/4 of the way though hitting nothing but ribs at 15 yards broadside. To be fair the buck was big bodied and technically it did go all the way through, but it didnt blow through like it should have. The deer only went 30 yards and tipped over so It did its job well, but just not as much as I would have liked. Could also be because im only shooting 62 pounds now because of a hurt shoulder so im not blaming the broadhead 100 percent.
