  2. if you have pics on your comp when you go to post hit the more reply options and you can attach an image. when you hit shoose file you will search the location or folder it is in. its very simple.. (see previous post also)
  3. yeah that does seem cheap... haha your right around the corner from me. My buddy Jake Hiltz is in edmeston. Not sure about the homes but for a Amish built cabin i heard it comes out great! and they look beautiful.
  4. wow thats a big bear! imagine going to pull your card and walking up on that?! lol
  5. the one up front looks like he has some mass the one in the back ground is nice! nice pics
  6. does look fake lol in any event looks pretty young, 2.5 maybe 3 but he has some great genetics.. very nice deer!
  7. too pricey for me... plus with alot you pay a monthly fee so you can have pictures sent to your email and phone. they have monthly plans and what not but its just another bill. id rather give it a few weeks and go check it.

i dont bear hunt and never hunt near the pile anyway... its put out and usually not long after we head back down to Long Island so i dont see a problem with it. and personally with all the cams running over deer carcasses i have yet to see someone post a pic with a bear eating over it???
  10. my property is in Otsego, right in pittsfield. i have heard of some members paying as low as 6k for a 16x16shell with a tin roof, unfinished inside of coarse and it was built by the Amish. and you can build those cabins on a gravel base... howmuch are you figuring the foundation on that house to be?
  11. Say you use your 20 yard pin and your 20' up and you have a deer at say 15-17 yards or so. if you hold right in the middle chances are you will be hitting high which can end up being a spine shot or miss. and if the deer jumps the string forget about it, could be a big miss. I have what i call a "tree stand pin" and it sits just above my 20 yard pin. I have shot 20' from my stand to test it out on a very small object that does not move and i was hitting high or not hitting it at all. the arrows always seem to stick into the ground above my target. After adjusting my pins i used my tree stand pin and its a bulls eye everytime from 10 to even 20 yards i can use it. works for me
  12. no problem... i have a group of 3-4 mature doe that frequent past and around my tree stand almost daily and i have for a few days seen a small 6 and small 8 hanging with them. Antlers were all rubbed out. Its been a week since those buck showed up so maybe they pushed off.

On long island i double bag it with 3mil black bags and in the trash it goes... upstate we have a spot on the property we put it and nature takes care of the rest...
  14. LOL thats great! i did try it last year and had some buck activity over it... does work i was thinking about putting out a mock scrape to see what kind of attention it gets right now.
  15. yes this is what i heard too. you can get alot for your buck!
  16. That sucks, hope you figure it out and get it situated with out breaking the bank...
  17. yeah i agree shooting for lengthy periods of time is no good, well at least for me its not... i find the more arrows i shoot the more i become tired the looser my groups get and the more frustrated i become which is prob part of the reason i developed TP. Now its no more then 10-15 minutes 3 arrows at a time and im done for the day.
  18. i stepped away from cams with big batteries, i never had great luck with battery life. Now i spend a little more and get the Bushnell cams with the AA. I buy the rechargeable ones and thats all i use. You should send an email to Primos and see what that say
  19. its all these damn video games lol... i was talking about this the other day, i remember when i was younger you could not keep me inside! i was always out riding bikes, building stuff, working on things, fishing, me and my buddies did so much stuff and were creative. Seems now a days all kids want to do is sit behind Xbox with a headset playing hours of War games. its crazy! LOL
  20. Target panic i have and is something i am working on over coming... Believe it or not i only get it on targets like 3d's and what not and also when i push myself to shoot out at longer distances. I dont get it when there is a deer in front of me for some reason? Very odd, even more odd I do not get buck fever either... i have a sense of excitement but no where near the levels that would make it buck fever, i am actually calm as a cucumber for some reason. And i have had some great opportunities at some great caliber deer! However after the shot is another story, the excitement and joy along with the sense of emotions that overcome me after ive placed my shot on that deer and watch him or her go down is a feeling i will never be able to put into words. If i did not have that feeling then whats the sense in me hunting? I consistently try to get close to my game so i talk to myself when i have a nice deer in front of me and always remember how close i get and this is nothing new, be calm be relaxed and most importantly, WAIT FOR YOUR SHOT GENO. He doesnt know your here and he will give you what you want. So i keep calm and patience is key. I would absolutely have buck fever if a deer came in and i rush rush rush and try hard to get that shot off as quickly as possible... but i find for me anyway, if i am patient and bring myself to neutral i can focus more on the deer and pay attention to the angle of my shot limbs in front of me and try to make it as clean as possible. After the shot its like an explosion of joy and adrenalin. I still have target panic but now that i know what it is and how it affects me i do the same and try to mentally talk to myself and assure myself i know the problem and push myself to correct it. So far its been working, i do find myself wanting to squeeze a premature shot off but once i feel myself doing it i stop, deep breath, relax and the bow does not feel as heavy and i can try and focus on my aim point without letting an arrow fly. Its tough and a work in progress but i feel i can over come it.
  21. at least your not paralyzed or better yet, alive... things can always be worse
  22. yeah i knew a guy like that, he would hit paper or a 3d perfect... put a deer in front of him, he would hit the deer just never knew where and would find 1 out of 7 deer he shot... The thing that killed me and lead me to not hunt with my dad while he hunted with this guy was after he shot one, he would spend a whole 7 minutes looking for the deer and say ehhh he will live... would drive me nuts, to the point im yelling at my dad asking why he hunts with a guy like that.

    Skunk ?

oh ok, shows how much skunk trapping i do lol
  24. i was looking into the bow setups but i dont like the fact you get so much vibration upon release and you have to hold you bow up after the shot to film further. Instinct is to lower the bow after release. Did he buy the cam that is a stabilizer?
