Well i bought my Super sportsman and applied for my doe tags 1st chance 8W second chance 1C, well i always get 1c and i have never been turned down for 8W in whats gotta be the better part od 8 or 9 years. Well low and behold i was turned down for 8W.... The girl at Dicks and i were very shock considering its high this year like always. Anyone have any idea why i would be turned down? i received a preference point also, i never got one before whats it for???

^^ holy cray! well we got some temporary power until they put a new pole in! im pumped!! lol

i took a 7 point last year with the bow, quatering away. perfect shot the deer went not 20 yards and took spill right where he stood.... dropped a doe that went 20 yards also. Dont get me wrong you still have to place a good shot but even marginal shots can be rewarding given the right period of time...

i heard next year will be white? is this true?? LOL JK!!!!!!!!!!!

nice pics! you seem to always get nice deer on cam but how do you fair when the season comes around? do you see any of these deer when the season comes?

man some answers are funny.. i mean in reality there has to be some kind of compromise! you cant just pick up and leave for an entire hunting season and expect your wife to be cool with that, seriously... i logged over 150 hours last year in my stands and still dedicated time to my fiance and my house. happy wife happy life... dont get me wrong there were times when i put my foot down and still went into the woods when she may have wanted the opposite but i hunted within reason. i was in my stands all season long. Keep things good on the home front and you can enjoy your passions relatively fine. but if i pulled half the things some have in here i might not have a fiance any more lol

i think to a certain degree there will be some terain change and what not. i am going this weekend to check some cams and stand and do any re pruning that i have to. i am expecting some trees down and a bunch of limbs. not sure about flooding tho...

i saw that too, i was wanting to get it for the camera because the price was good and i couldnt find that cam just by itself for a good price. but i decided to go with the wildgame IR2 for 50 bux... the deer cane thing was funny and i do not think they are intended for deer farms lol. its for who ever.

good thread, i think at least 80% or more hunters are impacted in a negative way due to hunting somewhere along the line. biggest thing is our significant others...
