  1. Just wanna say... Love this thread.... That is all. Carry on Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  2. That would be their style. Just to throw a wrench at us. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  3. I enjoy growing deer as well. They cram in the info. Even if they are overloaded with sponsor plugs... Also watch wired outdoors. Only because they are from PA. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  4. Found a well done series by Midwest whitetails online. Called "chasing November" good HD. Nano narrative. Of course it has the sponsor stuff but not as bad as some others. Gets the blood going for upcoming rut. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  5. Very interested in a spur and beard display.... Website? Contact info? Are they all custom or set designs? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  6. No dice this morning. Was able to change cam locations. Trim some branches in my lanes and grab a card. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  7. All set in 6p. Nice to not need a flashlight on the way in. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

    Rut!

Have one series of a young buck running some does off the plot in 6p. Does came back 20 minutes later..... No rubs. Had an active scrape a month ago. Since gone dead. No serious activity yet Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  9. I sat in mine 2 times now in the rain. Both for 3-4 hours of steady rain. And it had been raining all day prior to me getting there.... No waterproofing spray and I was nice and dry.... Lots of pinholes in my ameristep. I'll waterproof before turkey season next year. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  10. Congrats that's a great first bow buck! Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  11. Bummed as this is a lone doe I've been targeting.... She'll be back around right? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  12. Alright. Double swing and a miss... First opportunity at 28 yards I dropped my bow arm even after months of self coaching not to. 2nd shot. She was at 35-40 yards. Pretty darn sure I used my 30 pin instead of splitting the gap. Neither arrow had a trace of blood. No hair or blog anywhere near her trail. Kind of elated and sad at the same time. Glad I didn't wound. Bummed I blew a perfect opportunity. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  13. It didn't run like a bat outta hell...... Which I thought odd..... Hoping for a clean miss or a good shot..... First opportunity with a bow..... Holy adrenaline Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  14. Iam seriously freaking out...... Holding in stand till end of shooting time and backing out. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  15. Had a doe come in. Missed my first shot over her back.... Shot again.... She ran. I'm shaking I have no idea if I hit her. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  16. Got both stands moved. No worries about something sneaking up behind me now. But man did I make a hello racket for 2-3 hours. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  17. Man. Hoping I get lucky tomorrow night after moving my stand. Won't be back out for almost 2 weeks Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  18. I use a bushnell bone collector range finder. Once I get setup I range trees all around me.. I then continually go over those mentally every 20 minutes or so so it's fresh. If I was hunting a field I guess I'd have to range the animal as it came in. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  19. Well to clarify I guess what I'm asking is if average deer activity is to head to the fields to graze in the morning or the evening. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  20. Lol Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  21. Love the updates! Keep em comjng Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  22. I moved one my stands so it overlooks a good sized scrub and thicket area that has a well used trail leading to a field.. I moved the set because I found the other end of the trail comes out behind and far enough from my stand that they would see/wind me before I would see them. So the new set is on a corner of trails overlooking the scrub leading into the field. Intent is to catch them enroute to fill or leaving it. I don't have cam activity for this area (yet). Should I hunt this new set in the am or pm? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  23. Full moon and colder temp this weekend. I was going to only go Sunday night. But now I'm going sat morning as well. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  24. After practicing for 2 years now with the compound. And working towards better groups and accuracy at range. And then seeing my buddy pile the bolts at 40 yards after a few clicks of his scope with the crossbow the first time he ever handled one, I can see why there is animosity. I was shocked at how immediately accurate the crossbow is. I won't lie. Made me want one. So I can understand why it'd be overall bad if they were allowed all season. The deer population would be decimated before rut. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  25. I have a "banded" brand muff as out the selection at the time it was the only one that fit around me. It is a little small as opposed to the larger ones. I throw a warmer in the pouch and one in the muff itself. I wear a very lightweight glove as well. The cold still gets to me though. Cold fingers. I'm gonna try a larger muff next year in hopes that more volume in the muff will allow the hand warmers to perform better and make a little oven.. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
