  1. Good point on brassicas... slot of weeds have come up. But there are some brassicas growing from last year's plant. Doing 100% better than last yr Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. So my clover plot was neglected due to other duties this year. The majority of it is overgrown. Going to take a mower and rack it up as high as it will go. And mow it down. What can I throw out there to over seed this late in the season? Also going to throw more lime and fertilizer out.. only a small 1/8 acre plot in woods. Shaded for half the day. Thanks for any suggestions... I'd like to just get some farm seed instead of an overpriced bag of deer food. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. This guy is typical of our local bucks 1-1.5 yr olds... neighbors don't believe in letting them grow.. Luckily we always have a good doe pop which is all I care about for the freezer. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

  9. Hooked up.. Round 1030 I finally got a gobble..got prepped and called again they must have belined toward me because they were almost here... Opened my window a little and a head popped over the rise... Froze. He moved on and another head popped.. Got set and hit the firat one that came into the sights.. He flew off other one ran... Gun jammed because the end nut is stripped out. Manually reloaded and called... The runner stopped and looked like he would come in... Never showed so I stalked up to the ridge and saw him run off... Thought it was the bird I shot as he ran from where the hit one landed..... Got sad. Walked over and sure enough mine was dead.... His buddy musta circled round to beat on his body a little. 8inch beard. 3/4 inch spurs. 19lbs Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  13. Nice morning... Intel told me birds in the field 2 days ago around 10am... Well I got in at 520a set up. No shock gobbles. No gobbles at all.. About 630 there is one way way off... May have just been my imagination... At 940 I can't stand it anymore butt is numb so I pack up.. Walking up the field I see 2 Jakes scooting away from me in the hardwoods.... I drop. Plant the hen. And crawl off to stone wall and try to call them in. Then I get a gobble from the woods I had just left behind me. It gets closer.. It passes on by. Saw the lone tom as I peered behind me over the rock wall. But he kept trucking.. Had I stayed put another 20 he would've walked right by me. Bummer. I still setup the same spot tomorrow right? Anyone using strut tom decoys? I had mine with a breeding pose hen in front of him. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  14. I get a couple ticks a year. Even with persevering on my clothing. Get it out. Save the tick and get it in for testing. If the red spot grows on daughter get her in for Lyme disease. Or just get her in period Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk

  18. What I mean is.... When there is a presidential change over... Isn't there alway reappointments for various positions? And even more so if another party is taking over? Seems the media is just blowing up everything trump does... Even things that Obama did and they never said boo about. Or maybe I'm wrong and he really is going above and beyond? Hopefully someone with more than 3 presidencies in their life can chime in? Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  19. So was I correct in the aging? Or is it just geographic difference in food levels? I like the show too.. Seems low budget and less produced Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  20. Watched 3-4 episodes just now.... Could do with out the music being so loud. I noticed that alot their shooters seem to be looking like they are 2-3? and spindly.... Or am I aging incorrectly.. Not nit picking just trying to learn compared to the large Ohio matures seen on other shows... I understand that in corn country they will naturally be bigger and heavier. So maybe it's just the geographic disparity because alot of this show is Jersey. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  21. Picked up a Okuma avenger 3000. Put it on the steelie rod. And the 4000 on the shorter stiffer rod for salmon Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
  22. I grew up raming around on those forest roads.. Even spent a night a pond in the woods named "hatch's pond" Alot of history in those Hills.. Few friends of mine live at the base of them.... Also a stone wall that runs down the star Hill... People claim to see a later light bobbing down the wall at night sometimes. Sent from my D6708 using Tapatalk
