  1. Kicked up 6 from one brush pile tonite.. Usually only see 1 or 2. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  2. Which setup requires more energy, and thereby more sweat to hang and hunt? Climber or lock on. I currently have a summit titan sd. And even though it is like a recliner in a tree, I find it to have a heavy energy expenditure to get aloft. Between carrying the 30lb stand in and climbing. Another negative is that the tree must be perfect with no lower limbs to interfere with climbing. And the good climbing trees never seem to be in the best spots in my area. I am very heavily leaning towards a light weight climber and sticks. Which of course is much more forgiving when it comes to trees. With my budget I'm looking at a millenium m60u at 13.5lbs and a set of hawk helium climbing sticks at about 3lbs a piece. Makes the weight approx 25lbs. The other bonus for me is the bracket. Which I can get multiple of to put in trees on various properties for hang and hunts without leaving my stand in the tree. Thoughts. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  3. Thos numbers make more sense? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  4. New numbers in the calc. 410 arrows and 264 fps gives 63.3 ke Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  5. Okay bow fps now rated at 264 based on the other calc on the site. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  6. Lol. Okay I used the ke calc on that same site linked.. I pulled 318 fps off stock switchback specs. I see the issue. The calc asked for arrow speed. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  7. Have 410grain arrow weight. Bow shoots at 318fps. Coming up with a kinetic energy of 91.97. Still not enough for mechanicals? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  8. Hairs may imply long.. fuzz would be more accurate. Recommendations on string ?manufactures? Seeing lots on ebay. Mathews switchback Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the detailed response... yes the string gets hairy by the end of the season. I wax it all at the beginning and by the end it gets a bit hairy so I was again. This is after some 200+ shots (practice) it gets hairy. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  10. I'm fine with 3in groups honestly. I'm in the vitals consistent at 30 yards. This will be the last season with the bow. Going to upgrade in the spring to brand new Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. I'll try the 100g and see how it goes. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. Haven't given the China's a good shot yet. Thursday I'm gonna get some more field tips to accommodate the chinadermics weight. I should add that I index my knocks and broadheads. And have a spinner to check arrows. I also bought bow square and snap on levels last year during my paper tuning. Used them to set rest etc. Following online guides Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. Original Mathews Solocam 50lbs . 30in draw. Shooting carbon express whitetail 350 32in length. 125 grain. Bullet points. 125 grain muzzy 3 blade Trophy ridge elevation/bondage adjustable biscuit 5pin small dot sight Strings as far as I can tell are original. But the bow was lightly used prior to my owning. Had bow gone through last year by a pro shop they signed off. Broads are hitting 2-3inches right and 1inch low. Chased circles papertuning last year for a couple weeks.. got good tears finally and still had the impact differences.. last season I just adjusted the sight to the broad heads for the season. 14. Well that time has come and I'm trying to plan my rutcation. Seeing predictions of: Nov 16-22 October 22-28 And Nov 7-14. Quite the spread... The october one threw me. Found it here: https://community.deergear.com/tips/data-driven-regional-rut-predictions-for-2017/ Interesting that northeast is predominantly late November except for new York with the october prediction. What is everyone else thinking? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. Sounds like I gotta shoot to see Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  16. How high are we talking? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  17. I got some of the chinadermics. They were supposed to be 125 but came in at 120. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. Going from fixed to mechanical Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  19. 125gr muzzys 3 blade... Have a dozen of the chinadermics.. I might give an a shot. And see how the fly. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. 30 yards Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. Still battling my bow. After 2 seasons. Closest I can get poim is 2-3 inches between broadheads and field points. Thinking about trying a lighter head. Shooting 32inch 350 carbons. How will dropping my head weight by 25grains affect where the arrow hits with my current sight? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. I love this time of year. Cool crisp nights and mornings, high 70s and sun during the day. Smells like........ hunting season. Hope everyone gets a chance to get out and enjoy this beautifull weekend. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  23. Had this crew outside work the other day.... 2 hens wish there was more poults Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  24. So it's agreed it looks like a person? Black bears are pretty scarce. 2p minutes north it'd be a possibility. The last frame looks like a human outline..... Or aliens Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  25. going through pics and came up with this series.... neither myself nor my partner has been out at 4:30am looks like we have a trespasser with a headlamp? the 2nd and third pics have what appears to be additional lighting at different angles. thoughts?
