Oh I’ve tried that . There’s next to no usable trees along that edge , and from the crops ( beans this year ) , into thicket, there’s very tall weeds for like ten yards . If I could use a stand it would be a hard front quartering shot at them in the beans , once they hit the “ weeds” and the thicket there’s few if any shot openings . Ah if I used the decoy there I may get a broadside shot as they circle it in the beans .... I’ll have to scout for one usable tree there next week .

Ok a friend moving out of state ,gave me a large buck decoy ,I’m intrigued, but have little idea as in there use . From the little reading I’ve done , many say use them in the rut . But here’s the thing in early bow, I watch nice bucks at first light walk the yellow line into the thick stuff , I have stands at the two red X’s . My thought is to put the decoy at the black dot ,to draw them off the yellow line to me . Would that work in October? Which way should they face to have them pass by me ? I’m thinking of being in the red x on the East side . Thank you .

Ya was a requirement, I didn’t want the normal dinning table and seating benches . This is more comfortable ,if we have to spend time inside watching TV or something , can stretch out better . Bathroom is pretty nice too . My trucks towing is only ,7,000 lbs this is 3,300 dry , I wanted to stay light and short , but roomy still inside , great for a couple , we’re not looking to spend a month in it . Larry, that has crossed my mind , it’s only 40 minutes to home , but staying there a couple nights , campfire ,that would be nice ! Definitely in bow , gun when it drops below freezing probably not . Idk have to learn about winterizing it . Plus I’d prefer not to haul it when roads are salted if I can avoid it .

We bought a Gulfsteam, Vintage today , a 2020 with three year warranty. Just enough for the Mrs and I to do some local camping , and a trip out West . Also if the state gets screwy again ( still ? ) , we’ll just pack up and blow town for who knows how long , we got friends and family in Tenn, Texas, N Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, a dozen places in Fla. These are well built trailers ,and I dig the old school style ,but with Bluetooth , led lighting, automatic switching from LP to electric , twin LP tanks , power tongue lift , adding solar to the roof . These pics are off the net but the exact trailer .

Our CC is with Chase where we bank and , are in their Private Client program . I hoping my PC rep will handle it, to save me the aggravation of doing it myself .

It’s almost impossible for UPS to deliver to a wrong address . Once they punch in delivered,the GPS match’s up the address their at with what’s on the package , if they don’t match up that hand held thing lights up ,and makes noise to, alert them , they’re at the wrong address . This was a mix up in address or tracking numbers down the line .

The Presto canner is made in Wisconsin . They’re hard to find right now , I ordered from an outfit listed as in Texas , also a part of the US at least for now . Next thing I know it’s coming from China ...... I already asked both the drop shipper and the chinaman where the hell it is . I also bought another from Rural King ,and received it via fed ex, who I have hated since one of their 18 wheelers ran the wife and I off the road in N. Carolina at 80mph .

Little venting. I ordered a pressure canner online, got a tracking number and watched it come from China, till it said delivered, and signed for, well I never got it . Filed a claim with UPS online, they denied it as it was delivered, then went to UPS, guy said “ oh you gotta go to the Henrietta one ....”but then he gave me a phone number . Lady on phone said it was delivered to 151 xxxxxx lane. I told her that’s not my address nor the one on the purchase order which I sent them with my claim, she told me they don’t handle disputes , need to go online. Cant reopen my case online as it’s closed , I went to the address given me, nice couple but they never got my package . Either I got scammed and they gave me another persons tracking number or someone mixed things up somewhere , all I know is I’m out some cash, and I hate to lose . So I file with PayPal, denied ! Even though I gave them the PO with my address and told them UPS would tell them it was delivered to another address , seems all they do is enter tracking number , see delivered and that’s it . once your case is closed you can’t amend it with new info either . Can’t reach a live person , you know covid means reduced staff, I guess their workers don’t have a phone and laptop at home .... Oh heres a fun fact, UPS does not consider you their customer, the company that you buy from is . At this point it’s probably better I don’t have a pressure canner........

Riots and fights with police continue across the land. From Oakland, to Aurora Colo. , to NYC of course Portland is entering 60 consecutive nights with Seattle coming up close as number two . Here in Rochester, the cops are stretched thin and wore out, basic arrest they get surrounded, rocks and bottles thrown . Takes 15 guys just to put up crime scene tape and keep folks back at a normal incident ,used to take one guy a couple minutes , because people obeyed the tape ( and cops ) then . They are constantly breaking up large crowds , the other night, in an area normally popular with college kids, and suburbanites, while dispersing a crowd, two people in the crowd were shot, in two separate incidents. I figure this to continue straight through the election and beyond ,till the snow flies here , but then another incident will cause a flare up . Of course add a possible round two of shut downs and quarantines, and who, knows what China will do . We’ve tripled the size of our pantry, working on several cases of canning , they’ll be no “ supply chain disruptions “ for us ,thank you . Wegmans has its corporate headquarters and warehouse here, so truck drivers distribute from here to their stores all over the south and East coast. Cuomo was talked about having the drivers quarantine for two weeks after driving to those states , which would effectively shut down their food distribution.

Ya I’d like to lose a few LBs, four months of no gym is taking its toll . I hate running, I tried for 10 days or so,it just sucks and too many bad body parts . Chin ups and push ups in the garage and one kettlebell is ok for strength in some areas , but I’m not burning calories, I have no will power to diet without going to the gym .

So we took the SS Nomad out for a spin , and I had some issues with my ‘83 Johnson that’s been rock solid since well ‘83 . Cursing at idol it stalled out, I pumped the bulb on the fuel line started her up and off we went, but it had problems “ taking the gas “ , when I pushed the throttle down it just would bog down, eventually it would go . But would again stall at idol . Its the old school metal six gallon can, which I guess you can’t even buy anymore , the odd thing is the bulb should get hard after a few squeezes, but not today it stayed soft . Is this some kind of pressure loss in the tank /line ? Never had an issue prior, well sometimes the line would pop off the tank . Im thinking of buying the new style tank and fuel line and seeing what happens . Thoughts ? thanks

Doc ! Glad to,hear from you . I support the couple because a line has been drawn and I’m on their side, mistakes and all , not the commie rioters , period . Now they could have been discreet,man inside at a high point covering the crowd with the AR, while out of sight , woman covering the front door . A good lesson here ,is also don’t have all your weapons at your home if possible ,or at least hire a good drywall guy .
