    Hey we all make mistakes . Summer ive got pics that look like Iowa , now I don’t see one deer 1/2 my sits , I don’t bump any walking in or out , few rubs no scrapes wtf . Ok there’s 300 acres of standing corn 250 yards from the woods, but that’s not unusual . 32 years here , the last two have been weird .

    Well the mrs bought 20 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast so either way I’m canning meat tomorrow.

    This has been about the only reliable spot so far , wind in my face , stand in the shadows . also the longest drag ….

    Sat till 11 zippo ! grabbed a ladder stand I had laying on the ground, walked around with it on my shoulder for 45 minutes …. Finally found a spot , put it up trimmed a couple limbs , off to lunch .

    Turkey city . Blew three off the roost walking in , some more flew down after . I’m surrounded by them , making turkey’s noises. A deer would be nice though .

    35 here in Canandaigua . Hope to hunt move a stand , lunch back on stand . Honestly it was hard getting up , the desire to hunt is waning oh well . Next week looks very good but I’m not going to hunt all day or everyday . Suppose I should head in soon

    So ,last light in cut beans 80 or so,yards out yong buck harassing a couple doe . Walked out of woods into green field a decent buck grazing a 100 yards out or so . Best news I found a spot I could cross the ditch 30 yards from normal spot ! Back I stand in 11 hours !

    Ya a guest in my freezer ! WOW did it flood here the creek overflowed like I haven’t seen in 32 years . couldn’t cross the ditch where I normally do had to walk around to the end that adds 400 yards on . For a minute I thought , “ hey this jet sled looks like a little boat ….”

    I can’t believe guys are still even thinking about covid anymore . Haven’t worn a mask in like a year , never stopped going to,large events ,hugging ,shaking hands . Move on fellas and hide your beagles .

    That was my grandparents, from their home on Lake rd . Webster . It would make a good boat anchor , or weapon . Milk cans were used on wife’s parents farm .

    Yep have I cross a drainage ditch to get to any stand , oh and the toe cap on my left Muck boot came unglued awhile back . Where I cross there was little to no water previously, it won’t be bad unless boot leaks , I’ve been crossing it 32 years or so only one year was it to high for awhile .

    Tough it out ! I do a 36 hour fast once a week or so after a few hours I’m not hungry at all .

    1-2 inches here today a little more overnight . I hope to hunt tomorrow AM move a stand , eat lunch , back in the new stand for the afternoon , if needed .

    The rebuild was going to the lower roof line . Also yes keeping the chimney either way as there’s a gas insert in the fireplace that we use . That side was sleeved when it was installed , the estimate came in $13,400 , the sleeve and B vent was $1700 of that , $2500 was a ballpark number he told me at the time . im going with new crown ,repoint and seal, we can see how that goes and in a few years decide any further steps or move …. Thanks everyone .
