So I get an e-mail from the dog warden saying to call so they can give me options... I call and it was...Well when your out driving look for them so we can find the owner...really? ... No ...They'll go to the town clerk to see if any are registered in the area...do that BEFORE YOU CALL ME...WTH! I can shoot if they are ACTIVELY attacking me...well two big pit bulls ..pretty sure that would be too little too late

Off to take another hot shower.....Be careful out there...

SB 4739 - Establishes the yearling buck protection program

So according to the NYODN this whole thing came down to 2 big lobbyists NY white tail management coalition....... pushing NY Farm Bureau.....pushing back All this angst for nothing...I would have put a bet on that one and I only bet on sure things...lol Oh and the NY conservation counsel chimed in with this: The antler restriction push via legislation is " like a CANCER".... -
You need to add ...and during bow season as well. As I recall, there were many many conversations about guys tree surfing and puckered sphincters last season

Doc, I got tired of it about 2 weeks ago and yesterday disgusted...though yesterday was for once calm most of the day until the sun went down. 73 acres and the trees ,saplings, huge branches and small ones can't miss any of my trails!!?? I can't even use the Gator until I get the saw out there again That said, I thought last year was dang windy too....
-
Lol...it's 1:30a.m. and I jolt out of bed with a leg cramp..hobble down stairs and let the dog out to a howling wind. That's when I realize...Oh crap! the new blind I left out to water proof. Grab flash light and it's gone! Slipped on my shoes stepped out and followed the wind...Thank heaven for the metal Bird feeder hooks...I have 3 in a triangle position out in the yard and there was the blind wedged nicely in those shepherds hooks. Grabbed it and tucked it in under the porch roof area. Man lucked out winds are dang heavy and the blinds like a giant box kite..Now I'm wide awake.

OK I finally got the big clover plot 2% glysophate sprayed. Here are pics of that plot last year.. I had 2 things grow great this past late fall winter...moss and GRASS..My poor clover plot is about filled in and the lower one moss killed off two plots. Frost seeding is coming in spotty...I also spent 5 solid hours raking rocks in the new plot...3/4 done and that's just surface rocks...I am whipped! I now have to do the 2% down on the white tail institute plot...it will kill of the chicory but that's OK. It was free seed and I frost seed it and will over seed with turnips again this fall.

Oh believe me I understand..dang if I haven't had enough trouble with roaming dogs. You'd think I have hang sides of beef the way I have dogs hit this place!...but when one does the SSS they are just leaving the real problem, owners, to go out and get yet another animal to ruin..I want the owners to pay, I want the owners to be looking over their shoulders and I so want the word to get out I'm running a bunch of cams and I have notified the law. I will be their giant PITA if they can't control themselves and their pets.
-
I sent e-mail to sheriffs and to neighbor with picture attachment, will put a poster in post office...nip this in the bud quick...Will not worry about being out with River nor Angel...
-
no.. I prefer the owners get a hell of a fine Not the dogs fault any SSS should be some of these owners IMO The big problem is these dogs get into a hunting and sometimes feeding frenzy..the chase...then they come across someones kids in the yard or like me a single person coming across their path and they have become a hunting pair..to this day I have no clue how I out ran them! Other than I was scared crap-less and dang near unable to breath and seeing stars when I got to the house.
-
I told you guys of 2 pit bulls a brown and a white one that chased me down the drive and then circled around the house not letting me out...I called the cops, but they were gone by the time the sheriff arrived...dog warden claimed that the only ones she knew of had never left their home..he got me in the patrol car and we searched the area but couldn't find them...caught one last week but got both on cam this weekend....they run deer all over the hill.

got too busy to take any other pics..OK tired...

Chief.. need to give you this heads up from experience. Chicken wire seems to attract racked buck as,at least here, but a buck lowering his head and catching a time in that wire will go a tad nuts. This equal as stripped bark and snapped off trees. Been there did that. Tractor supply runs sales on welded wire 100 ft 48 in high works well. Also if the cage isn't wide enough they will reach over to grab a bran c h and snap the top off the tree....been there, trees recovering from that. That said looks like you gotten a lot done nice job. OH...The stakes. Fence posts or rebar which ever is the least expensive for you..wood they will push/ snap off -
That's one of my brush pile fences,I have over 400 yrds of them around the property.
