Zem...look at that! On regular computer and I see what I actually typed.... Oh... Mr B. it out cleaning all the vehicles now. One more coffee then off to hand shovel the drive...we got a bit of snow by golly...Pretty sure with his shoulder bothering him he won't want to get the tractor fired up...Didn't help he asked me to pull off his rubber boot(put on wrong socks, too tight)...I was being careful and he said you getting old? Pull!...I yanked him out off the wooden office chair that then flipped over hitting him...Damned if you do, damned if you don't -

Dogs barked half the night...so l know where the deer were. Then at 4 I got up and before any lights went on Angel who never barks went to the picture window and let loose with her worst menacing bark, growl, whine. It spooked me pretty good, especially upon looking out the window I see a flash of dark movement behind our vehicle...Then 6 big deer ran out ,across the yard and down hill through our woods. I won't say what I said to myself, then went back to bed. -
That was azz a not jazz Does any not do and yrds. Not yrs. No not know , my linking not linking For carrying out loud!... l I k I n g not linking, c r y I n g out loud, not carrying This Kindle is on it's last leg...

Yes actually I knew exactly what was beyond the ten and that is why 1 and only one shot was made...I had time to see he was having difficilty getting his rack though the rose bushes and that he even stumbled going straight away from me...A careless shot that probably would have hit him but not the type of sloppy shot I would take...as I said I could see 80 yrds away but no more than fifty yrs shots for my linking in any direction...I could have also shot and hit the jazz of the deer I jumped 20 ft away...but I have restraint... Now what do any of that have to do with RR corn and equatiig planting feed corn with poaching as you did..BTW do not attempt to give me shooting tips. You have know idea the position I was in on stand ,the position the buck was in nor how he moved and surrounding brush and trees. BTW as I said when he first appeared...All I could see was his butt. I suppose I could have blown out his hips and hope JC Wouldn't have him drag his maimed body through the thick swamp too far before I could mercifully put him down...I mean eventually he'd die if the shot wasn't guided by the Divne. Alas I have more respect for myself, and the game I hunt. Again misdirction from your RR comments...stay on topic. I suppose when doing something illegal one can always find some way to justify it...I'm not too sure the DEC would consider out of season trapping of raccoons over a food plot..under nuisanse trapping...also may need permission for that, unless a certifed and licensed to do so.

Please show me a law stating feed corn is illegal to plant...UNLESS you are a farmer that has actually PURCHASED RR CORN SPECIFICALLY having too agree to not SAVING SEED TO REPLANT..There is NO SUCH AGGREEMENT FOR FEED CORN PURCHASED BY RUN OF THE MILL CUNSUMERS You talk about being a law breaker and compared planting feed corn to coaching at night...THEN in the same breath go on to say you clean out farmers planted and plant the seed that They agreed NOT TO SAVE and plant for your self ,avoiditg the agreement together..I say that to be highly hypocritical at the very least. You then go on to recommend ways to illegally trap raccoons out of season...look up strapping regulations

first Congrats on the deer guys... Could it have been a more perfect morning? I think not...well a dead deer would have been nice but other wise I loved it! Took me 45mins to get to the stand and there were no tracks yesterday and crazy amount this morning..I got in with out any outward sign of spooking deer. at 6:30 a car came down the road and as soon as it hit our line the breaks went on... Then I lost track of the tail lights...roads 2 hundred yards away and heard the car door slam...nice! out came my mag-light and I raised it way over my head and turned it on ...shaking it a bit...turned off then back on again....I waited ...thought for sure I'd hear a before hours shot...but nothing..I had a bunch of female cardinals, chickadees and buntings all around me and watched a mink as it got light...saw other movement but couldn't make it out. All movement was way out in front of me ,nothing came down the hill. At 8:30 I saw legs way down towards the road where I saw yesterdays buck chasing..Good sign ,no shot I had chased who ever off...I used the ranger finder like a monocular and spotted a high 8 getting up from his bed and stretching...I tried calling him in but 80 yrds out he never even looked my way and shook then crossed one of the creeks that is a property border into the neighboring cattail/ marsh grass. I doe bleated on and off until 9:30 when my toes were on fire from the cold...toe warms couldn't beat the boots being wet on the outside and packed in snow and ice...I even brought a foot pad for the platform... all that did was get wet and stick to the bottom of the boots...lol So off I went back up that 40 degree incline ever so slowly( seriously, the only way I can!)....Finding tracks that crossed mine going across the hill. Then I got to a shelf where I have 2 stands and stopped between them to take in the view...up popped 2 snow covered deer 20 feet to my left bedded down...a fawn and I'm not sure what the other was,all I saw was butt......got to the top and Thanked the heavens...I made it up that beastly hill again...lol -

Been semi awake since 2:23...alarm should go off in1 min. . rewind on the10pt miss...let's hope every thing today comes in left to rt. . Well,I best get up eat shower and boogie...it will take me at least 40 mins. To walk to stand...most of the way I have to take baby side steps to avoid going down on my back side. Then avoid being taken out crossing the stream on slippery rocks. Opening is 7:28. The doe and fawn will start filing in about 7. I need to beat them down the hill.....Good Luck everyone. -
With the swamps full of buck I have a great chance of seeing something with horns or one of those big doe...Yes I did track him and I saw where he was chasing those doe..I also know exactly who will be push B-) the section of swamp That connects to ours...also the chances are they will be on that QDM place a quarter mile from us and where he was headed. I've known they were here all along but to be honest fear keeps me from hunting it.The trespassing opening week is very bad ,nearly impossible to see anything in there... This winter I will start a shooting house and build a few stands that can't be stolen in better spots...They will see my presence there next bow/ opener while I have a couple of friends on the upper lands across the street. After It's set up this winter .,I'll only hunt it those key times and avoid it the rest of the year..I'll take advantage of those guys pushing the lands either side.

OH I'll be there..the wind will be perfect for a morning hunt..SSE and very mild ..but the walk down in the dark will be a challenge 19 degrees and steep ,snow over slick wet..then add the 2 stream crossings and boot sucking mud...one reason the deer go here...it has to go many degrees below zero before anything freezes down there..Warm due to vegetation always wet and rotting, giving off heat...The doe will be there so I know the buck will be as well...I also know that doe bleat is working on both. Then add surrounding hunters pushing deer into the swamps...A few guys will be ticked to see my bright orange self in that stand...how to mess up the last weekend trespassing drives. The sun will be at my back not shining in my eyes in the morning..much better!

That 10 will show back up in the morning?...he was chasing doe and had another buck with him..I saw two big bodied deer...but he's the only one I got a good look at the rack...man he was fast once spotting me. Bound through the swamp at a good clip but slowed a lot before hitting the deep culvert and road...which tells me he wasn't spooked too bad. The doe be there I am sure..Gosh it is so dang thick in there you can barely see anything until it's on top of you...which is why it's great hunting.

What A HUNT!..AND IT ENDED AT 4:15 WHEN i MISSED A BEAUTIFUL, SORRY CAPS...anyway 10pt...I got down to the swamp at 2:40 and I didn't see a single track ...bit discouraging ...so I got out the bleat can...wouldn't work. It must have gotten wet...I put my grunt tube to doe and called ...at 3:20 a doe fawn showed, working her way to 10 yrds over my shoulder and bedded down...Great! 3:30 and I can't move until she leaves or 4:36 close...At 3:45 I hear a commotion 75 yrds in front and I see deer running past...then a single buck comes out and stops...fawn or no I got out the bleat...I saw another big deer moving around...I only have, at most a 50 yrd shooting op from that swamp stand....All went quiet and I listened to the streams running ,head on swivel. He just appeared in front of me to the left..head in brush and butt showing...I thought I saw rack but regardless it was big and I have doe tags... I couldn't move in stand to ready a shot..couldn't tell where he was looking. Then he popped out looking straight at me and eating cattail. when he turned his head I turned my body and raised the gun...only 39 yrds...just as I got to his shoulder he snorted and jumped. The jump put him wide open and I was trying to stay on him...just a slight hesitation and he took a sharp rt turn directly away from me...in that second I had fired... His rack was giving him a hard time getting through the rose and he stumbled...before disappearing...I got down straight away to follow his trail...clean miss and he went through the swamp and across the road...Oh well... What great fun!..he had another buck with him I crossed the fresh tracks...I unloaded, hit the road for my 3/4 mile hike up the hill home....OMG guess who happened by just as I turned up the hill... Oh Ya...thank God for Mr. B. Guess where I'll be in the morning! -
It is what it is ...Yes deer do know what is and isn't safe....I mention the sanctuary a lot...but I'm not mad...Hell I told them how to make it!...Food plots do not guarantee success in ag country and I know if I hit the really hard to get in and out of places on us I'd have what I want or drive to camp......I won't go to public looking because. JUST ME PERSONALLY...find it unfair. Some years they just change their patterns completely...and some years not...some years they are forced to...and some not...is what it is. Now as far as #'s...the NYSODN says it's been a good year.....maybe...they canvas much more south than us...Winds and weather hasn't been stellar for many in western NY...I am older and wiser...high winds in big timber?...No deer is worth being crushed ,knocked out in cold weather or maimed by falling limbs and trees...Speaking of the sun just came out...I tried cutting the lions out of the doe...nope...so I think I'll take a hike down to the streams..wind is zero right now...may even make it to the swamp...

All tracks nearly filled in..big fluffy flakes...light wind seems to be "snow globe " in nature...snow is falling in a circular fashion...a tad strange looking actually... -
Culver...you can guess he keeps very tight lipped around me on this stuff...I haven't forgotten the walkins...neither will he ,until I get an Archery warm weather system here. He said we need to rent a storage unit until he figures out how to get it in the basement...I told him to FINALLY put in the new garage or barn we need...lol...nagnagnag
