Thank You so very much. Sorry late...Checked out , BP was a bit high scan OK,...They were a few hours late so I didn't get a chance to report. Thank you for all the kind responses and prayers. She has been stressed ,new car, engine died Dealers have been fighting her for 2 wks, They don't know why engine quit. A new job with more responsibilities and yes the holidays.Oh Also her dog developed a bunch of lumps all over and had to have surgery last Friday...many stitches all over her and they had to wait for lab results...Thankfully they found out this Friday she was cancer free...So yes stressed... She loves Christmas and tends to burn the candle at both ends trying to do for everyone. Our Christmas Blessing, shes OK,still a bit uncomfortable but nothing serious...

My father was a MM ..We were estranged hadn't spoken in years...but I will do anything for my kids...he brought me his paper work, which was appreciated...didn't help us, but as usual, learned a little something... http://www.usmm.org/strugglevetstatus.html

Your welcome Doc...Well the house is clean walls and windows carpets shampooed ...and clutter everywhere..BUT ALL MY GIFTS ARE WRAPPED...SAVE 3 that Amazon just told me won't arrive until January...Why is it it's always the ones I ordered at the beginning of the month and the big ones...will be wrapping pictures today with a smaller gift attached....lol I will leave here in a few, one last gathering of goodies...breads and stocking stuffers...Then all the cooking starts for tomorrow...dips and veggies cut...chex mixes made. Tonight I decorate the tree...I muscled it in the house last night...Mr B picked a beautiful fat Concolor a few days ago...but his sore shoulder has turned into a real problem..All my clutter clearing probably hasn't helped...he's filled the truck once all ready with just stuff from the Kitchen and living room dinning areas.... You think I was a hoarder ,but no...well..... I do tend to never want to toss a magazine and books...I kinda collect books and recipes...antique jars...OK a bit of a problem...hahahaha. The recycling place is keeping a close eye on him now. Nagging will begin the day after Christmas to get to the Dr.'s before he needs more than therapy. That tree has the house smelling great. Coffee is finished...gotta run...Stay safe while out and about everyone...later.. MERRY CHRISTMAS

Great late season food plot picture

Typed that late last night..just realized you may have meant seed no tree...I am cheap cheap cheap...so I hit every on line place I can and cruise the sales and best shipping...here's the rub prices are fantastic...then shipping costs 2x's the seed price...so you have to wheel and deal...like you can get 25#'s into a us postal box where it's a set price for shipping no matter the weight.. I wasn't sure when one place told me...I weighed the package when it arrived, a bit over 25#......I used Hancock last year got some good deals and the seed grew great...Also shopping around by seed...like Small Burnett...very expensive...if you type in where to buy Small Burnett...You can find seed company's that have better pricing..needless to say I NEVER even consider Amazon. Same thing with Sainfoil...These are usually upper Midwest companies where this stuff is grown. I'm also very cautious as well...check company's out on line before even thinking to call...ya you'd be surprised fine print ...if you want an example of that check out the for mentioned Amazon...I suspect some are suckered right in. This is big business and there is always someone out there ready with their "clippers " looking for "fleece". -

check out Cummings nursery, Mussers a for a lot of different trees ...both in driving distance...Well Musseres is in PA...not far from where our daughter went to grad school....Rraintree in Oregon...Starks..Wal-Mart for the Dunstun Chestnuts. Also keep your eye open for any local nurseys. I found by chance a great one that sells whole sale...but keeps potted trees on hand for locals...I just happened to see a tiny add in the local Penney saver. -

Is that spring to fall? Problem could be you have the bachelor pad...they are dispersing to go find the does in the fall.. I get that problem when I plant soybean...here all summer then poof gone. -
Those catch all drawers and cabinets in a house can take hours when ones on a cleaning binge...I have started to turn over a new leaf...I am throwing away half my life...The half that was "stored" to never be seen again...or saved for later and later was in the 90's...lol Whats up with nick-naks...Am I going to use any of those baskets?... Popsicle sticks and wine corks...I threw away 8 cases of empty wine and liquor bottles I'd been saving for years this fall while canning..I threw away bail and ring canning jars I moved here with us...then never used again...If the kids didn't take it years ago when they moved...it was tossed this summer..and they'll never remember...ssshhhhh

Christmas cleaning...I hunted way longer than normal then the garden grew so well it had me manic trying to keep up...I cleaned out my "left overs" dish cabinet...I threw away two garbage bags of plastic dishes and old storage containers. The cabinet is still chucked full...but with glass dishes...I cleaned my spice cabinet...OMG how many jars of paprika and dill does one family need...I think I moved here with some of the ones I found stashed in the back...I tossed salt and shakers, food gifts never opened...really condensed milk?..I won't discuss the summer dust on the top of the upper cabinets......washing walls and the exhausts unit....thank the heavens for dish washer gel...it cuts the grease on everything...will peel paint if left on to long as well...lol Well done with my lunch break ...back to the grind... Next year hunting best go faster than it did this year...I still need to put up the tree!

Saying soybeans is easier than planting them...They do HAVE to have a high PH to grow as they should...no getting around that. Getting the deer use to coming in to a less expensive crop that will improve the soil when first starting is the better solution...then there is That corn field wont' always be corn...corn is like a killer crop...It is great for killing generations of weed seed but also kills the soil. So unless they are dumping copious amounts of manure on it, 5-6 years ,they will have to plant a cover/legume crop. So you want to know when that will happen and plan to have something even tastier on your place..... Ex..they plant clover/ WW in the fall or a Clover Alfalfa in the spring...you go soybeans or cow peas spring, brassica,WR fall Right now you want to invest that $$ sweetening the soil. Spring trictical and peas... That type of crop you do not need to plant deep...deeper you loosen the soil...the more weed seeds surface and grow....unless you plan on doing a full board soil turn in plowing..you don't want to go deep..use plants to loosen the soil...hog radish in the fall. http://plantcovercrops.com/short-cover-crops-put-down-deep-roots/ -
Best Memory Of The Season, Without Killing A Deer
growalot replied to DirtTime's topic in General Hunting
Lots of them ...but now that season is over I can say this...bitter sweet and a game changer for next year...A double drop tine crazy wide, high tined 14 pt buck 70 yards away. Came to my fence hunkered down to jump and couldn't then walked away towards the road and to the pines across the street... To tell you he's the biggest buck in the wild I have ever seen is and understatement...that rack was at least 25" 's wide or more...his head tipped back and forth as he walked, like a metronome. It made his head and body look proportionately smaller...and it was well before dark...I never saw him again and I have been checking around to see if anyone else may have gotten him...So far only one big buck has surfaced but not this guy...here's to hoping. Had I not lost the cell I would have tried for a pic...he gave me enough time to get a very good look at him the drops were at least 6 "s and he was very symmetrical... -

crunched on into the garden stand....saw nothing...then I got down and walked the pine wind break back to the road home...60 yrds from the stand is a completely bare, fresh stinking of buck ,bed..Yep He Was there long enough to melt 4 inches of snow and hear me crunching past on the other side of plot...Adios Amigo..I had emptied 1/4 can of buck bomb estrus all over my hunting clothes too...but the walk in had the wind blowing from him to me...it was blowing directly to his bed from the stand...had I not pushed him before I got there...lol -
Lol...Red neck...have you ever really thought about the term Merry Christmas? Now having been raised Catholic, taught summer bible school at the Wesleyan Method , and raised the kids in a Methodists church where I taught Sunday school...I have. It is also listed in the Merriam Webster dictionary.... So to avoid a theological discussion...let's just say to each their own.. Remember No matter what it's called or how it is referenced,it's now about being the best human you can be to those around you a celebration of life. May that resonate amongst us all and give thanks for making it through yet another year with loved ones and the memories of loved ones.
