  1. Thanks for posting this...I was in the same coma!...looks like a couple of day trips to camp...If nothing pans out here in the next few days
  2. adults decide to start showing up...huge doe at night, no buck...but these and a couple at another at a cam during the day again...Heres to waiting it out just a little bit.
  3. That's great to see for you! Congrats kudos for all the time you put in.
  4. Well you read what happened when I had pictures, had managed to trap one having a 3rd party take it back...The person brought in dogs, took pics of said dogs leaving their barn then called the cops to report those dogs for attacking their blk. Angus in their barn..knowing full well it was their dog that did it! JUST TO BE ABLE TO SELL THE STORY HER DOGS DIDN'T KILL MY GOATS. This is the same person that had her kid lie to police That I threatened her the night I was doing the right thing and taking her to court over yet another one of her dogs killing my chickens. Having me arrested for child abuse. Oh ya so crazy that the lawyer I had to hire Never sent us a bill...The DA was discusted. So perhaps I would have been better off just SSS. I have every time done the right thing and called the DEC or cops...Even after shooting a dog as it's cohort charged me in a frenzied attack. They give warnings..after one such warning another Nieghbor was attacked and sent to the hospital with dog bites on her daily walk. Not until then did those dogs get put down.... I preferred hitting these low life's in the pocket book..The problem is we are dealing with dog owning police that are just as freaking stupid as the people they are called to deal with.
  5. Do you de-bone it? I never leave bone in any venison..I also use a very sharp filet knife and trim heavily.
  6. If I'm seeing it correctly you can see where the bank was cut away by water and the layer of left behind gravel.
  7. Taking a couple of days off..chores ,Christmas, deer to process. I'll let the cold weather set in to get them out during the day. I put the buck neck in the crock pot over night with a couple of onions ,several garlic cloves, basil, oregano and a touch of a seasoning salt....Man it's good! I can use it a number of ways..BBQ,with gravy over mashed tators, hash browns venison on wick...etc..ect
  8. Not sure what you mean...BTW rain not ran Found out last night our daughter just bought her better half a new Kindle...she said his was wonky acting...She bought mine and his at the same time...So that explains why mine is getting much worse. They only last a couple of years at best when used a lot, apparently.
  9. You want to watch the area closely in spring..it looks like a flood zone.
  10. Re- read that quote, I said when the attack switch is flipped ON ITS OWN. Not as in attack training . As you well know or as you should know, there is a difference. Now that is backed by veternarians ,personal experience and a combination of information from pets attacking family members ,strangers, companion pets ...etc.....etc. There is a reason why the State requires,BTW just like gun shot wounds, dog bites be reported to the authorities when they turn up at hospitals...I've had that happened twice and received calls at home after treatment.
  11. Again Trial...too many people on this site know me to be lying about any thing.. That has always been the come back by those that spend their lives being clueless. When you spend most of your life actually out door or around a variety of people . When you do more then go to a job back home, to bed and repeat... Life is a small box not a vast journey of experiences and learning.
  12. I've had luck with real, wafers, synthetics....was it luck or did I just get lucky...who really knows unless the deer came in nose down on a scent drag....I've had them do that without a drag. The above post is right it will just increase sales through blk. market..human nature!
  13. I blew it up ,before making it smaller to post...I really was questioning it...but now it sorta does look like plant head...I hope so. Thus far I haven't found anything dead on the property..but after season Angel and I will be out checking...she has a pretty good nose....Usually the swamp delivers up at least one buck a year...the nice 7 pt last year.
  14. You make me laugh! Hide from it? I quoted my self in a post repeating what I said.....But Doewhacker I have no doubt that in your mind ...people hide by holding up a sign saying " Yes that's me saying those things...here I am" I had nothing to hide from.
  15. The wind completely died right at close today...dang it was cod out there...They will be on the feed bag in day light with these temps stabilizing ....
  16. I looked at that again... go with a rye grass..yes deer like it..it will handle moisture with clovers...That area does not look conducive to a lot of on hands management. Rye is know as a "choker" crowding type grass...but deer like it and that means you may not have clover in it well past a couple of years...but you probably won't have a whole lot of weeds making it either..low maintenance...pocket book and wife friendly.... https://www.qdma.com/ryegrass-going-grain/
  17. That or a hemp stalk...It just looked swollen at that angle ,always good to have a second or more pair of eyes..thanks..
  18. Think I should turn him in?....hahahahahaha
  19. I only had cards in2 cams so I went out to replace ,grab cards and take Angel for a much needed walk...Hey her nose went up and from 250 yards out she lead me right to where I gutted my cross bow buck....Not bad...just a bit of green matter left. BTW who's checking gut info? Mostly green field and a bit of red apple in both deer. Anyways...I got this one at the goat barn...Does that look like a wound on his shoulder? I think it might be one of the little bucks that I had come to my ladder rungs back in late bow...The 5 point I think..not quite sure. Must not be too bad if he's out feeding.
  20. Yes but close by...also No offence taken Grizzly...I don't do those things and have no personal reason to believe such feelings nor discriptions apply to me personally. ..Good Luck
  21. CHAS , IF you have a link for something or have seen ,in this Senca herd, please post it for me. I have searched using every word combo I could think of . Nothing has come up. Any help would be appreclated,as I stated in another thread.
