CF I'm in the same boatI have not seen one buck chasing a doe just calmly feeding together... or slowly walking along.. I did get a new scrape at the apple tree cam...no pics batteries went dead in the cold...I have new ones on order along with a phone card reader. I was just on wunderground and the station had my wind out of the north when our flag is clearly straight out of the east. I went to station change and moused the 7 in just our area until I got the ONLY east wind reading...LOL this area has so many stations and EVERYONE of them had a different wind direction???...LOL

+Have to go in to cover Gator and vote snowing good and sticking

Was suppose to be precip. Free today..now 30%chance of snow showers.. Which means wet snow around 10 a.m...wow crows are angry and I'm herein this high pitched alarm going off through the woods..WTH....then realize it is my Gator being delivered... I'll never getting a deer now...jinx,jinx,jinx...lol..and I have two squirrel in my tree one just above my head and the other across from me...they are both growling.. you know..up close they are mean looking SOB's...I little worried here.....

Apparently I could not miss spooking them..out of breath from hurrying I stopped for a moment...with a fawn no more than 10 yrds from me off the trail. Snort,snort,snort up to neighbors sanctuary...everything else stayed out along the farm field and walked down into the gully and up over the ridge. In a hurry because the bow wouldn't cock..I dang near tore out my arms,shoulder and back trying. Then went into the house and sat down with it. The bolt spring silencer had slipped up and was jamming the catch..Now my entire right arm is totally numb from shoulder to fingers. When is the season over...I'm ready Hey today is election day...don't forget if your town has things going on

Will dry hair and head out here soon...I pulled cam from where I sat yesterday...they have changed their party to this stand...mostly at night doe and buck feeding on the clover but early morning movements too... had the wind not gotten me They would have been there last night...So we'll see if I can sneak in without spooking them...I do have some 4:56 movement then no more until 6:50...Good Luck guys

So 10 deer total...the doe that t eased me earlier came back at 4:35 with 3 more deer and teased me until close before finally walking up to neighbors lane way and walked down to my clover plot...I then kicked out two more leaving

Had a spike run through on neighbors laneway,nose down ..then 2 doe came up out of gully but didn't turn on trail. Went direct down wind and the old doe went on high alert. Wind came back and spooked them both ..they went to pines. Had she just turned down the trails he would have stopped short of scenting me..or it could have been scent wicks I put out.

OMG the wind just stopped...so eery..dead quiet... Speaking of which how have your deer been moving..into or wind to their backs..here wind to their backs

I think it could be..Mr B said it was used as walk way over something and was chemical resistant..years ago he brought me home throw away pieces and I made stands..got my first bow buck from this stand over 20 years ago

I just love this stand I can sit in it for hours comfortably or stand. Now that I fixed the slippery ladder with the hard ware cloth "cleats" it' a pleasure to climb in and out of and the platform is on skid resistant grating. (Pic).views everywhere

Can't win for loosing, just watched a big fat lone doe come down the side of the gully infront of me and slowly walk under my other gully stand headed for the farm field and pines..well at least it wasn' a buck...lol

Well he has a Chevy now ..but they couldn' get what he wanted in a truck and have the company afford the cost of a chevy..We use to always own Ford years ago...but hey became rust buckets way too fast so we switched.then he started getting company trucks.

SO MrB had finally told the company what he wanted for a new company truck. It is a custom made Ford..The owner is trying it out while waiting for let lettering and racks. Mr showed me a pic. Lol glad I'll never need to park the thing. It's of course heavy duty,for construction material..I believe 4x4 and has two different body sections..truck bed different than super club cab..power everything,running boards ,8ft bed, 5 cameras. The works..I have to say...longest pickup truck I'v ever seen. He won't be able to back out of drive on this hill crest..the bed would be in drive across street before the cab got close enough to see if it was clear..hahahaha.pretty truck though.

Just watched 2 doe feed through area in pic..headed toward the cloverplot/apple tree cam. Wow Temps just took a quick dive..glad I ll ayered...

It's not on cams..haven't seen it in person. .but then again..I'e hunted about a 1/3 f normal.. Can't say I'm really into it this year.

With the NW wind I am set up in a gully stand. Hopefully they come out of the pines cross checking or come up low out of the gully..laid down doe urine on way in..Put rutting buck and rutting doe wicks out. Did a few doe beats and a couple of grunts...nothing yet..heads on swivel with the wind and wet can't' hear anything but whooshing and dripping..gurgling in gully..it's running good.

Lucky person...Just a thought...stop setting up around clearly dead trees..

rain let up a bit but there is another and last round right on the tail of this clear up... Then It's clear sailing for the rest of week. fog will remain here on the hill until temps bottom out..
