LEG... I take it that that broad head never entered the body cavity? Just slid between shoulder and ribs? Why I do not like quartering away shots...Just at the release a deer I shot turned away and I watched the arrow slide right in behind the shoulder...but It never actually entered the body and came out along the brisket.. wounded but not dead and no recovery. Had another quartering away..he turned at shot and the arrow was sticking out over his butt flat along his spine... I about freaked, watched him slowly walk away a big 7pt...waited then tracked him a hundred yrds and he just tipped over. The broad head ran right along the length of his spine and nicked the artery...

HHmmm not THAT change...those with wives that haven't...will never be ready... Any whoo This weekends time change...Oh boy, I thought I was tired before...But hey dinner will be earlier...LOL Please please let be fill at least one tag before Saturday night...

My pics have shown we have had a few of those over the years mostly giant "crab claws" and cool looking bucks for sure.

Ok Im going to try this again Hit the second stand I hunted first week a bit more sheltered in the oaks and around plots and heavy brush...Still not holding my breath...

Unlike the pic let them grow showed...which is a bit lower and a bit back from Non's picture...an arrow in that spot on that deer, unless barely into meat should have dropped that deer...there is a bundle of nerves there. That would be a long arrow even by my standards, but a hail Mary long shot just at at dark...looking at the time and just the slightest "thickening" at end could be small fletching. Who really knows unless he shows up on another cam or is shot...

I'd find their numbers(DEC cash flow) interesting on this.. Your right though Culver, Son and Mr.B. both have theirs(LT) and both have great guns but rarely ML

I don't know why that quoted like that...but I was specific in stating ppl like me also lets be honest here there are a whole lot of guys with out ML tags hunting with a cross bow during archery season now...it's just not openly talked about. Well occasionally someone here mentions it. EVERY single archery hunter that bought his privilege to archery hunt...but also owns a cross bow ..HAS to purchase a ML tag If they do not ML...A lot of ppl do not ML

Lived on a farm out that way and have friends that owned farms there...in fact one particularly big horse farm...Some GREAT hunting out that way.

The problem I see in getting inclusion is $$$$$...I think this every time I haven't shot a deer in regular bow and go to buy the ML tag...I have a ML but rarely use it and by ML season, I'm holiday busy and tired or tags are filled. This is why I have only the LT regular and bow privileges. So I really try avoiding that 15.00 out put, but alas... So how many are like me and how many gun only hunters are putting their 15.00 in the coffers in order to get a crack at a archery season buck with out the hassle of a course. Many that would never ML hunt anyways. Until they figure out how to recoup any of the lost Cash from ppl like me they won't do it. Also remember they are allowed out in the field during all of archery without any need for a ML tag...for they are legal for everything else except migratory birds... As many of you have said, not enough officers to consider any type of real enforcement. They pigeonholed themselves with the way they categorized them

EXCUSE ME....Do you have any idea how many woman and kids bow hunt? My daughters first deer was a 6pt she shot with a bow...my sons first deer was a doe shot with a bow,both young in age. Then, well I honestly do not know at the moment just how many I have shot with a bow...but a few have been posted here...come on weak weak weak... Perhaps only the strong communicators should be posting here...LOL

That rack could be typical as he grows unless there was some type of injury involved. Both sides are basically growing in the same manner. If anything I predict he'd end up with a taller rack. The other side seems to have a beginning spit or sticker on first tine...he may develop good brows.. JMO

Nada this morning and I left at 11 to go get tags and errands done...just unloaded car now...1 1/2 hours Just getting tags...WTH... Then it was old home week at the grocery store and customer "issues" at 2 other stores... I stopped and talked to a couple of doe along side a short cut road home Asked if they would cross the valley and teach are deer to hang out eating at 3pm...I think they shrugged as they turned 5 ft away and continued browsing in the culvert ditch. BTW it is absolutely freezing here compared to the valley and the wind isn't pleasant. I have to put stuff away not looking good on getting out and I stink from hanging around with a bunch of other people in a small area... sweated more there than walking to the stands...

Off to get the license now...Don't forget those worthless slips of paper you have to sign and date before you go out...

300ft dark drive and 7 houses on entire road...we all have long drives...and barking dogs....They all go to town
