Well I see that link didn't work so....either type that in the bar...or Google milorganite and find that link....it's a fertilizer and studies at Cornell and Georgia have shown it really helps repel deer during critical point...when first growth starts

I sorry I need to address two things first NY's quote 1.) this contradicts what either he or several of you have said in the past...in that they aren't an advantage due to the noise they make 2.) One can hear the shot from a compound a good distance away...not in sight....when you know your surroundings the sound of a bow string releasing is a VERY distinctive sound one shouldn't be able to miss The second is a comment made about not allowing hunters their CHOICE of weapon....I personal have never done that...here's why... Able bodied ppl who have spent years complaining about those BOW hunters out getting all the GOOD buck early bow season...CHOOSE not to pick up a bow and learn how to physically draw and hold on a target or an animal in order to hunt early season......I have never said gun hunters couldn't be bow hunters....they made their choice a very long time ago....They chose to hunt in gun season ...so that's what they choose then I say let them stay in the time frame they chose and hunt with a cross bow if they want....If they want to make another choice then let them learn to draw and hold a recurve or a compound on a target and then animal and they too can choose to hunt early bow....nothing elitist about that...just a matter of what they have been choosing for years....now physically challenged ppl had no CHOICE...they should be ALLOWED to hunt cross bow in early season

nice pics...I heard and talked to a few the other day but they must have caught me feeding the goats and went quiet and didn't get any closer....up on the hill early this year...foods getting low....think they were head to the neighbors big bird feeder

I have the foam ...bobbin head and an inflatable tom...the bobbin head and tom work the best...but most birds I've called in were taken over live hens...my calling seems to make the local hens very aggressive...

For one thing I'm a woman ...and I 'm just responding to others posts...nothing delusional about it and nothing ppl in other forums haven't read ...no lies just fact and I learned along time ago that with fact you need pics ...so I back up what I say with pics...also for me knowing that ppl I know know my postings ...be stupid to lie...no dreaming either Back to the perfect hunter....some one that respects the game and other hunters to put the time into knowing their weapon...... practicing with it to insure the best possibility of a clean kill...some one that goes afield with full intent to obey the laws and not go where they are not allowed ......Some that doesn't think the above are too much a burden on their little lives...So That simple enough for you?

I took a different approach...we started out with 91/2 acres....the problems were beyond impossible....so I confronted the group next door that had 12acres and 7 vehicles show up on opening day...they got nasty...so I let them know if they couldn't stop the crap...I'd buy all the land around them...well I started buying...and when they went out and in the dark crossed on to us...... I was sitting in the dark and in a loud voice said you'll be arrested before 7 am...I then went to work...there was a 4 sale sign up when I got home from work...the new owner...is a sweet heart....the others...well I bought their family farm...then the land behind us...All were warned ...leave me alone and I'll be glad to do the same...We now have 73 acres..the farm land I bought ..well I told him too stop the crap or I'd put up a high fence and water features and the deer will gladly go to my neighbors and our land across the street...He must have pickled his brain in the beer he drinks...for over the years I've been collecting...(pic).materials and making watering holes...posts go in this spring...See I'm Irish and no one drives me off...and when you have DEC officers willing to refer to you as the "land Gustopol" why would I want them on my land?...I do have some good nieghbors now...but they saw that I'm a firm believer in Money talks...BS walks....I've worked too hard and got things just the way I want them, to let as Fasteddie correctly described .... A$$holes to ruin it...I pay 300 a month in taxes here and 300 a month at camp...Those taxes should be enough to entice law officals to do their jobs not using my land for free....also some of the problem is....some of these guys are local volunteer firemen....and use that as a license to do what ever they wish...which is sad because..... I being terrified of fire.... have a great deal of respect for volunteer firemen....So no I won't stop what I love ..if they want more land to roam...LET THEM LEAVE

When some one is shooting at me from behind my tree...I'm not going to poke my head around the tree to see who's doing the shooting ..when I have slugs whistling past my ear...I have had my cameras with me and video as well...that has helped with the one crew...but when they are on their land shooting into mine it makes it difficult...considering they run and as I was told if I were to cross their line to catch them...I'D be arrested for trespassing...I had pics of neighbors dogs running deer past my stand...they said my pics weren't clear enough ...so they just went down and gave a warning...though I'll admit...having blinds they can't see into...that helped this year...they never know when I'm there or which one I'm in...I now have plot watchers and 6 IR's plus my older cameras out...high & cable locked

Culvercreek...please must I repeat this AGAIN...please go back and re-read...or at the very least read before you respond G-man...I can only hope that would happen...and if You HONESTLY don't have first hand experience with these types GOD bless ya...because they make gun hunting absolutely miserable for all around them and as for the archery muzzle loader thing...theses same guys can handle may be a day or two tops late season in these hills ...so that's not as big an Ace ache as having them out in the fall

Excuse me...I own73 acres at home and 68 + and 50 next door to hunt at camp...Everyone that gun hunts ...with the exception of the absolute worst hunters around us...not an exaggeration....... all bow hunt....no ones taking "MY" deer ....it's just putting more DANGEROUS ppl ...IN MY AREA out in the woods....ppl that have done nothing but gun hunted ...and couldn't shoot a non running deer out of a deer DRIVE if God came down from the heavens and threatened them with lighting bolts...ppl that couldn't hit the woods without a cancer stick in their face or know ANYTHING about deer hunting....and don't any of you dare tell me you don't know these same types ....for I'd call you a lair to your face!

Well that was short lived ...due to get 12+ in. and the deer knew it....one actually.... opened the hay barn door and ate 1/4 bail of hay yesterday....I followed it's prints in my tracks ...to the grain bin and then to the hay barn...never noticed that happening before...but it explains all the hay on the ground....I kept wondering how I was dropping so much feeding the goats... :

Great pics..I rounded a curve on a back road last month and there 15ft off the side of the road were two huge hawk sitting on a carcass...awesome sight....thanks for sharing

I don't actually find that here...the deer move off others sanctuaries to our place in the fall...ie example...these pics were taken off our front porch...the dogs kennel is 50 ft to my left...which is where the deer bed down near at night...we've had to line the 22 x 20 ft kennel with tarp to keep the barking down
