Opps night pics.....This is the winter rye/turnip plot...that had soybeans as a spring summer crop

I have a older stealth...it was junk from day one...and older Moultrie that still takes good pics but the battery life is beyond lousy...a couple of first IRs from moultry that are ok and got this new IR and so far I like it...though we had a hard snow storm and I got ten pics of just night time snowing...it's taken 50 plus pics and still 98% battery....way better than others I have.....

What was libelous about that statement....and if I were MM I'd have that pic blown up like a wanted poster and post it in local hunt shops...grocery stores....post office and take it to the police and DEC......I'd move the camera as well WANTED PIC Trespasser Reward for info leading to an arrest

It shouldn't ...for they have a good ole boy system and gladly give out names of ppl who call in...I have a nieghbor with a scanner and wow the info they gather on ppl over that is amazing....just the other day someone on a road parallel to us called about a wounded deer running across their place...the neighbor was telling me about the conversation the police and DEC had over the radio and exactly where the call came from....Now I don't have a scanner...but can tell you most ppl around here do...whats that tell ya?

similar to the virus that causes cold sores...skin deep...many ppl actually have viruses living on them that are immune so they never know.... but others aren't......years ago I had a virus that caused my skin to get red blotches when exposed to sun...have no idea where it came from...I had to wear long sleeves and hats that whole summer ...but it disappeared..or I became immune to it's effects within a year...Dr's told me the name but I can't remember...it was many years ago...It's just too creepy thinking of all the microbs that are living on and around all of us every day...makes ya want to shower in bleach yewwww

Ahhh...I've been hesitant to go see if one of my new ladder stands were taken....I did the Fasteddie trick of making the platform un-usable...but they could still reach the cable lock if they wanted...just don't want to push ...surviving deer down there and well ....just as soon not get all PO'd before Christmas..if gone...well it will still be gone after the holidays Sorry to hear this ...but still a lasting memory that will have good results down the road for your daughter...There is always some other kid out there trying to talk another good kid into something we know is wrong...this will pop into her head when that peer pressure arrives

Dropped off my hides and heard of 8 sightings ...actually near our sons place...knew of one...for it was just sitting in his drive...but was told how a sow with cubs dragged off the guys buck ??? Yow...don't think I'd fool around with that scenario either.........

Too funny...We know a guy named Mike Hunt...know Dr Stopp and that is the son of the original Dr Stopp...My hand surgeons name was Dr Mitten There are some cruel parents out there...one of our kids works in education...believe me they don't have to be sexual in nature to just be wrong!!!...some times for professional seasons suggestions of name changes are offered...why would you name your kid after cartoon characters??!! ???

The masses that can appear on our Goats...are caused by a virus...we have to lance them every once in a while....using a hazard suit and face mask to drain the puss....They are only skin deep.....done right they rarely reappear...when skinning the deer those masses come off with the hide...I personally would think twice about the meat....once seen...well there's no erasing that image is there?

First ...an update Congrats on some fine deer... I took this one at 1pm the other day...she came in with 5 other doe and 2 fawn...there was one that held back and I watched for 25 min. ...it finally moved for me to see it was another doe not a buck....In the mean time this one had been fighting the other deer in the Succra seed with her...a lot of hoof play...ranged her at 84 yrds and took the shot...she took two leaps and disappeared...hit her high severing the artery along her back and she laid down to bleed out ...

After having an exciting yet unfilled bow season I was looking forward to a great gun season. I thought that after the first week of seeing nothing but fawns and hearing dozens and dozens of shots all around me, I may be wrong. The winds and night seem to have claimed my chances at filling our freezer with anything but store purchased chicken. The rains stopped and snow finally arrived....I decided to hit the woods at 3:45 and went to the wooden ladder stand I made at the end of a 13 yrd x 300 yrd lane way we have...I was seeing tracks everywhere in an area that just the afternoon before had none...It was if they had followed my path through the snow tracking me....4:15 rolled around to find a single spike walking a path through the neighbors woods headed up onto us angling toward the turnip /corn plot. He had no clue I had laid a bead on him and gave the pass...I continued watching his back trail pleased to see 5 minutes later a mass of brown appeared. There were 15-16 doe and fawn tightly grouped headed on the same angle....The doe pictured was the largest of them and stepped into the lane way with the first group of 3 doe and fawn...When the red bead of my browning 20ga found her shoulder there was no pass. She dropped where she stood at 96yrds...I luv my new range finder.

All plots are down to dirt...some half eaten turnips here and there and the rye stays a steady 2in.'s high...the Succra Seed is thinning out rapidly....Clover mixed plots were the first to go....there is nothing left of the elderberry plants save stem...and the berry patches still have some leaves.........

First buck I ever shot...shot him down ...wait... start to him...he pops up ...I shoot him...down ...ect.... 4 times across the property...Dad in-law watching me from the ridge...couldn't believe it....He finally jumped the fence and was dead on landing and slid down " the no go zone" guys property next door...I was rather ..."well with child" and the guys couldn't find him...a friend found him the next week just yrds over the line in brush....This was way before the yotes arrived...I'd hit him each time...guys said they couldn't believe he kept going from where the shots were

unfortunately around here yes...doe and they usually still breed and have fawn...one we watched for 3 years and she had twins every year...until some one shot her

I just found 3 more 3ft scrapes and a few small rubs

I have rubs...and found a 3x3ft scrape on edge of rye yesterday

Well last night I had 1 doe and 8 fawn file past.....two buttons had a shoving match 3ft from the blind.....got out finally at dark and bumped 14 deer...wht flags going every where between stand and house....just hustled along ...hitting the grunt call...no blowing or stomping they all just scattered Night before blew a shot on a doe...couldn't pull the bow back...Got cold :-[ ...when I finally did she stepped behind a pine and there I stood ...getting dark ..thumb locked behind ear....when she finally moved...I just rushed it...I watched her drop and the arrow sailed over her back...she bolted just 5yrds and came right back...I knocked an arrow ...but it was to late....All this after a nice 6-8 point ran her past me at 18 yrds moments earlier...couldn't stop him ...she took him out 70 yrds an left him then came back....First mature deer in good range and non spooked...Oh well that's hunting...the arrow will be found after they eat the turnips : Good Luck today...time to shower.............................

The winds have kept me in the last 2 days...sorry but Mr B and I went out yesterday to take care of a few things and found 2 more ..big healthy looking maples with the tops blown out of them....I said ...now you know why the tree lounge has been in the basement the past two years ??? ...Just too scary...We had to move a small up rooted tree and bunches of limbs off the trail...Wanted to go to camp this afternoon but they are due for worse winds than us...and I washed my cell phone Weds. so...well no way to call for help if alone down there and need it ...Need to go shopping today any how.....

I had my big HD target just tore up more than once...snapped the ears off it ...gored the back end ...dismantled...ect
