  1. As long as I leave space for the wife's car an my motorcycle I can pretty much do anything I want with it
  2. Got a chance to stop by and take better pictures of the garage.
  3. @Lawdwaz You forget I'm all grown up and have 2 kids now? Lol
  4. Not currently, I'm sure that could be arranged sometime down the road however
  5. We are finally in the finishing stages of closing on our house, Since we are getting a 2.5 car garage on the property as well I'm looking for ideas for man cave/garage bar designs. The previous owners left me a beautiful beer fridge as well as a nice workbench space but I would love to build a small bar in the garage and make it a hangout space for the guys as well. I want to hear some ideas for DIY projects I could accomplish on the weekend. I attached a picture of my inspiration as well.
  6. They are horrible this year. I've never found a tick on me in 10+ years of hunting and spending time in the woods. A week of so ago I went out and took a little stroll to check trail cameras and found 2 on me in the space of 20 minutes.
  7. Im excited to see this and wish they would drop the age even more for bow. My son already joins me in the woods but I would love to give him the opportunity to harvest his first deer or turkey before he turns 12.
  8. No I handload my deer rifle rounds. I have plenty of 5.56/223 for range days or coyote hunts and buy more whenever I find it decently priced. I have more than enough 12ga for turkey/duck season, haven't been able to find any target loads however so shooting clay pigeons is probably not gonna happen this summer. I also recently picked up some more 22LR to have on hand for plinking.
  9. Unfortunately the insurance benefits in the healthcare system have to some extent incentivized them putting Covid-19 on the death certificate which has led to inaccurate numbers as well. One of the medical examiners in Syracuse was performing autopsies on deaths listed as Covid-19 that were shipped up from NYC during the height of the pandemic. He said that there were bodies that had multiple bullet holes in them and had Covid-19 listed as cause of death. As we all know correlation is not causation, just because someone has died and tested positive for Covid-19 does not mean it was Covid-19 that killed them.
  10. Good Luck! I'm a Paramedic and My mom and sister are both RN's. The medical field can be awesome to work in and has a lot of opportunities for growth and taking your career in different directions.
  11. It'll end up being one of these scenarios lol
  12. Thanks for the input guys. Like I said this weapon will be mostly for plinking and a truck gun for yotes and things that I don't mind getting scratched up. It's not for home defense (Got a 12ga for that) or long range, high accuracy stuff (got a bolt action that I hand load for that)
  13. Doing great! Just haven't shown my face around here a whole lot lately.
  14. Any opinions or people with experience on PSA AR 15 kits? I'm looking to expand my arsenal with something chambered in 5.56, I'm thinking about buying a lower from a local shop and then using a PSA upper kit something like this to finish it out. Not wanting to build anything fancy just something to hit some targets with when we have a range day and possibly a little coyote hunting on the home farm. https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-16-m4-carbine-length-5-56-nato-1-7-nitride-15-lightweight-m-lok-freedom-rifle-kit5.html
  15. Ive been wanting to pick up some of the Avian-X ones but haven't been able to convince myself to drop that much $$$ on them
  16. I've started keeping my hunting clothes in a duffel bag in the bed of my truck under the tonnue cover. I run an ozone generator in it after every couple hunts and i dress when i get to my parking area. Spray down before every hunt esp my boots. Living in a small house with 2 kids its one less thing taking up space that they can get into.
  17. I couldn't find any 308. this year so i dug out my reloading setup and loaded up a couple boxes for the season.
  18. Anyone north of Syracuse have any harnesses available? I'd like an extra 1 or two for when my bro in law hunts with me.
  19. Another big doe down tonight. Watched 6 does for around an hour and had a 4pt come out. My little man told me to shoot a big doe not a baby buck, so big doe it is!
  20. Cold midday sit with the fiancee I'm the tower stand. Definitely helps having the wind blocked but still a chilly 23° haven't seen any deer movement so far.
  21. Ended up seeing a total of 5 deer. Had 2 more does feeding about 50 yards from us in the tower stand but unfortunately I didn't have a clear shot due too the layout of the field and not having a good shooting lane in that direction so they got a pass tonight. Edited to add: That doe was killed with a Hand loaded 150gr Winchester Power Point bullet with 44gr of Hodgdon 4895 powder and CCI rifle primer. So fun to be doing my own reloading again and seeing the results in the field.
  22. Finally made it out for my first sit of the season with my son. On the way to our stand at around 3:15 we came up on some does feeding in the field. Made a 230 yard heart shot with the 308 And dropped her. Now spending the rest of the rainy evening sitting in our tower stand waiting to see if we can get a shot at a buck.
  23. I didn't realize this got posted it already and just posted in in the trail camera area
  24. I was messing around on YouTube today and found this. If this is legit its a crazy testament to just how tough these animals we chase are. Any ideas on the cause of injury? I was thinking probably a car or a combine in a corn field? Sorry @cynthiafu I didn't realize you had already posted it elsewhere before I posted this.
