    It is a very sad day at home today, my beautiful pet cat and companion of 16 years had to be put to sleep this morning. She had been sick the past 2 weeks and the vet tried with medicine to make her better but it wasn't enough. I had her since she was 8 weeks old and she was a wonderful cat, but it was time to make her pain go away. Goodbye Lexi, you will be missed.

    There are a lot of good detectors on the market for beginner-mid level experience and they are really fun to use. Almost all have a coil that are waterproof to use in creeks and streams. One of the biggest online detector stores will give you bunch of info and they have good customer service and prices. It is Kellyco.com check them out sometime!

    I like to take the metal detector out and do some detecting....at least the ground isn't frozen solid any longer from the cold winter temps!

    I don't like the draw-loc at all, it is very awkward using it and just doesn't feel right to me. I hope they pass full inclusion and will be able to enjoy the warmer days of the archery season in early October.

    You can apply for a modified archery permit and use a draw-loc. That's what I did.

    I am cosidered high risk due to heart and lung disease plus age if I get the flu. I always get a shot. It is best to ask your primary care doctor about the flu shot, he can tell you the myths and the facts.

    Maple weekends this year are Mar 17-18 and Mar 24-25. Time for maple syrup and maple doughnuts!

    I look forward to maple weekend in NYS, that is when I buy my syrup when it is nice and fresh. I don't know about the stuff at Wegmans though. But maple syrup season makes me think though!

    My sisters son-in-law is going give it a go on the yotes out back. They spotted one going across the field about 100 yards behind house this past week.

    I got a lot more pics of bucks this past year but lacking does. Only 1 doe and her fawn showed up on cams last year and they did make thru hunting season. They hang out in thicket next to my sisters yard.

    Took advantage of warmer weather today and went out to sisters property to change cards in cams. The walk back to woods was little bit slushy and mucky but it was nice to get out.
