    My friend sent me this pic of of flag Gander Outdoors had flying outside their Tonawanda store. It was the opening day and said there was a lot of people there. Nice size flag.

    I was there in Feb, 1985 training when I was in the Marines. It was -45F.......that kind of sounds refreshing now!!

    The higher the heat and humidity, the breathing gets harder for me. Have to limit any strenuous activities that is for sure.

    It really saves the already sore back lol. And when I am busy and can't water I just text the neighbor there and he gladly does it for me. He gets the reward of peppers and tomatoes any time he wants any!

    I have container garden setup at my friends lot 15 minute drive from me on Lake Ontario. He tore down the mobile home few years ago so he said use the old patio slab if I wanted to. I have mix of different peppers and tomatoes. I had a good yield of plants last year and will have more this year as I added more plants.

    Few years back I remember story of bear in Amherst, if I recall right the police ended up shooting and killing the bear near I-990 and Millersport Highway. It was around this time of year also.
