    Few years back I remember story of bear in Amherst, if I recall right the police ended up shooting and killing the bear near I-990 and Millersport Highway. It was around this time of year also.

    Glad to hear your friend is doing better. I know it is tough having fought lung cancer, and I'm living proof cancer can be beat. There are some promising treatments available for various types of cancer and they are giving patients hope. Have a drink for me Larry!

    Yesterday I stopped at my friends lot up on Lake Ontario and the farmers were cutting and harvesting the grass fields behind him. I can only imagine what animals got chopped up in those fields. I saw bunch of turkey buzzards scattered around eating stuff and a bald eagle was dining on something to until I passed by in my car and it got spooked away.

    Few days ago I noticed a doe in the uncut alfalfa field that is alongside the dirt road that goes up my friends lot on lake ontario just inside Orleans County. She was just standing there watching me as I drove by, and seemed to go in circles and was carrying fawn it was quite obvious. So I had 2 cams set along the trees by the road to see if she would be dropping any fawns. I checked cams today and it looks like one joined the family. Pics aren't great but the fawn is there.
