  1. for an annual clover I like it better than berseem clover.
  2. yes the bacteria needed to help capture N is already in the soil but Inoculatation is cheap. I also inoculate seed.
  3. welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new property. If I'm creating a new clover plot I prefer not to frost seed. I rather wait to spring and make sure weed competition has been eliminated or plant mid august with a cover crop of winter wheat or winter rye or brassica.
  4. call Chris from NASA fertilizer. Tell him DeerAG sent you. 1-800-858-4932
  5. I'm not going to say you can't plant brassica in the spring but I prefer it to be a fall crop. The only issue I see you may have on that hill side is erosion issues. Also possible sunlight too not sure of the canopy or which way it faces the sun?
  6. EW was in short supply for 2016 and looks to be the same for 2017. This is the reason we are pushing release date. We don't substitute seed for another in our blends.
  7. stubborn, we find EW to be great screen and grain sorghum. Make sure its not forage sorghum. Deer will eat it. We will be releasing a plot screen for 2017. Our screen will reach 12ft in height. and hold up to the snow.
  8. anyone in the Oneonta, Morris area that does snow removal or wants to do a driveway for $. pm me...Thanks! George
  9. we believe it's the best Brassica blend out there! Thanks for your support!
  10. one of the biggest mistakes is over seeding brassica.
  11. I Would open up that canopy. you will need more sunlight. I would try to plant oats, winter rye and some rape seed.
  12. save your money. go to a local feed and seed pick up a bag of whole oats and rape seed. will be much cheaper and deer will actually eat it.
  13. I'M going to put him at 4 and will push 130-135 gross.
  14. Buckwheat is a good organic matter builder in the soil but it needs to be plowed under while it's still green. Deer will eat it but it's not a preferred deer choice. Turkeys will eat the seed heads. I would plant winter rye or winter wheat this time of year so deer will have something to eat in the fall even after the first frost...than plow it under in the spring, which will also build organic matter in the soil. just my opinion.
  15. That is great you get the little ones involved! thanks for sharing.
  16. or you can get our doublebeam brassica for 6lbs for 51.90 free shipping...has Barkant, PPT, GHR, DER and Bonar
  17. we have some new blends for 2017 that have them but I can't say much more at this time:)
  18. grow, I have planted both in blends. Just more diversity for the deer!
