If the cable was bad from the package I can guarantee it was done during the over molding process, I have some experience with building molds for over molding connectors ,who ever is responsible for building the tooling has too much shutoff on the cable

Everyone goes through a rigorous screening test to make sure they dont have any crossbow in their dna . I gotta say ,if my wife and child are in the car and you get in front of me holding a gun , natural reaction is probably not going to be hit the brakes . Thankfully I've never been in a position to have to make that call and but I'm sure either way will not turn out well ,I'd rather it not turned out well for the guy holding the gun to my family.
