I've never had gout but i can relate. I broke my foot in half in 07 , just above the big toe is basically in pain everyday with every step. Somedays it's so bad I'll be limping on it.

I dont have access to a lathe that I can cut a tapered thread on so I called in a favor from a fellow tool maker that I've worked with most of my career.

Heres the difference between the two tubes ,the larger diameter is the current build and the smaller stuff is for round 2. It's crazy if you've never handled carbon fiber ,it weighs nothing ,you can try as hard as you want on a 8 inch piece but you cant even flex it let alone break it.

I copied a similar version ive hunted with for a few year ,its plenty wide enough for either your cam or a hole in your riser.

Got the idea to build some ultra light weight bow hangers . For awhile ive been wanting to get a 3d printer ,from there i wanted to use it to mold custom carbon fiber . Part of the reason for this project was to start to learn about the bonding procedures for carbon fiber . For the first one i purchased the tube ends so i could see how much clearance they use from the aluminum to the tubing for epoxy . By doing so i learned the ends are also slotted to allow for thermal expansion and not fatigue the epoxy . A few pictures of the build and the total weight is at 5.3 ounces without the tree screw . I have tubing with half the wall thickness for the next batch , i will be making all the tube ends for that build ,i'm guessing the total weight on those will be 3.5 ounces finished.

Gotcha , i saw the lift handle and the D ring and was just curious if it was for work of some kind . My dog walks better on a harness too but his is just 2 straps and the leash hooks up on his chest area.

Just curious why someone would use that type of harness?

Good outerwear will keep you comfortable longer and most likely in the woods longer , the most expensive bow or gun isnt worth it if its sitting in the house while you warm up or get dry.

All I ever owned was just cheap hunting clothes or bargain bin stuff with lots and lots of layers underneath. I made the jump in the beginning of the year and got to try some stuff out during turkey season and I wish I would have made the switch years ago ,just the physical weight of the clothes over tons of layers was a nice change ,I never got cold or overheated.

I use 100g of blackhorn, a 300g shockwave and a federal shot primer . It doesnt have to be federal but it should be a shotgun primer ,the muzzleloader primers have weaker charge . The blackhorn ignites fast enough to use a shotgun primer ,some of the powders on the market and especially pellets dont ignite fast enough for a shotgun primer and you can actually dislodged the load before it all burns.

I think consistent charges are most important over anything else , you'll find some rounds that shoot better then others overtime . I read thrpugh modern muzzleloader site a bunch before getting one and just used the recipe that most guys were using in their CVA ,I know 4 of us using the exact same load ,it has been doing good.

I use one of these set at 100 , then I fill a few tubes that fit into the rubber holder that has a spot for primers also.

My doctor asks me if I want it ,I ask If i need it and he always tells me not really so I never get it.

I'm missing the outer eye piece off my monarch 3s , i wonder if i could get a new one ,that cold aluminum around your eye sucks when its cold out.
