  1. I agree that its nice to see the pics while you are standing right at the camera ,make adjustments as necessary. You can still look at your pics on the computer when you get home because they'll saved on your phone. Also saving them on your phone gives you something to show your co-workers instead of doing work.
  2. I hook up the card reader which turns the phone on. The phone will then automatically show the files on the card. Mine are labeled as DCIM. Once i get to the list of pictures ,i hit the 3 little vertical dots icon in the top right corner. This will have a option to "SELECT" You can hit the square box in the top left next too where it says 0 selected and it will select them all. After you have the pictures selected ,you click the 3 verticle dots again and this will open a box that will have options to copy ,move, rename. If you select move ,it will give you a list of places that you want to move the pictures too (probably your pictures folder) If you select copy then the card will need to be deleted with the phone If you select move ,the pictures will be moved and the card will be empty. Im not sure i explained it in a way that you can follow(My writing skills are poor)
  3. I put a bushnell elite on my CVA apex 30-06 ,i bought the scope with the 600 DOA reticle after i found out it was built around the trajectory of the 30-06 . The farthest i have target shot with it was 300 yards but it is way below MOA out to 300 yards.
  4. I use them with my easton Axis , i had to sand down the outside slightly to get them to fit ,they were way to tight.
  5. I thought you guys were talking about a hand operated device that draws the X bow back for you.
  6. That's why I say ,only one I have seen it actually work . A buck was cruising down hill and when he hit the spot I started my drag line ,he turned and followed until he was about 10 feet for where I could get a shot and then proceed back in his original direction. So close.
  7. As long as I've been hunting ,I have only witnessed doe piss work once,it was code blue . I don't even bother anymore. If I see a scrape ,I mark it myself,it seems like they get mad too ,if you back and check it ,they tear the heck out of the ground to get your smell out of there.
  8. I don't trust my neighbors to not throw a fit ,I have been thinking about putting my target in the back of the garage and using the vehicles to conceal my practice time from the neighbors.
  9. We switched back to hang on stands last year ,we found one called the ol man roost, most comfy stand I have ever used,it has a netted seat that folds straight up and provides plenty of room for a hang on,the best part is they're about 130 bucks.
  10. During bow season is always from a stand, gun season not so much. Blow downs always make for nice ground blinds and the deer may not be as spooked because it's been there for awhile.
  11. Good to hear all is healthy ,my wife and I are do on Christmas day with our first child,we're gonna wait til the day of to find if a boy or a girl.
  12. I couldn't find a SD reader that had a female connection so that I could use the phone charger cord ,I explained to the nerdy gentleman what I wanted to do and he said "you need this and this" I wonder if the camera itself has a spot to plug the phone into without even removing the SD card.
  13. I think for the 2 it was 25 bucks. I thought I saw a one piece unit on the web for about 9 bucks. You can play videos just the same as looking at a picture. I have zero knowledge of Iphones. I would have ordered the cheaper one on line but I need it for tomorrow so I had to cough up the extra coin.
  14. I know there is a bunch of diffrent ways to view the SD card from a trail camera,I figured I would share my new to me method for this year. I bought the external SD USB card reader and the USB adapter from best buy. Just plug the SD card into the reader and the phone automatically opens them, select all and save ,go on to the next camera and do the same thing ,it saves a bunch of time screwing around in the woods and allows for instant gratification.
  15. My dad used to tell us as kids that the lack of knock down power excuse was only used by people who couldn't hit where they were aiming.
  16. My cva 30-06 will not shoot the core lokts , i tried the 165g and they were all over the place ,i switched to the the Winchester 168g ,i had to re sight but they shoot like a laser beam ,all the way out to 300 yards so far.
  17. I guess mine would have to be sticking the end of the barrel into the ground and plugging it up with dirt, simple fix though, remove the barrel and swing it like a baseball bat and watch the dirt plug fly.
  18. We? I'll have you know that I have never shot a wolf or a cougar, as I'm sure most people here haven't either.
  19. Here's a little better picture, you can see my dad marking the tree at 30.
  20. 20,30,40 . I can't even get a 40 yard shot from my treestand ,but I like practicing at 40 because it really let's you know if you screw the shot up.30 doesn't sound like much ,here is a pic from this year's stand and it covers a fair amount of area.
  21. QUESTION , how does one get that contraption up into a tree?
  22. Adrenaline will help hold it back,it could also make you miss the shot. I found when I'm at full draw and a deer is aproaching ,it helps alot to hook your thumb knuckle (the one closet to your wrist) behind your jaw bone ,takes some more weight off the amount you are holding back.
  23. We haven't been able to get DMPs for as long as I can remember near cuba.
