  1. My ideal hunt would be one where my dad and I both took a deer on the same day during archery season.
  2. My wife and i got our dog from open arms rescue ,they have a huge database from all over the country. Ill never give another dime to a dog breeder as long as i live ,after seeing how many dogs out there need homes more then a dog breeder needs money.
  3. Haha , they should have added "as long as you are still faster then your young children ,you will have nothing to worry about"
  4. If a coyote approaches and looks aggressive, pick up small children and pets and throw rocks to deter the animal, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife said. I don't even know how to respond .
  5. My dad and I put our cams out last weekend to see all the deer before they disappear for hunting season.
  6. I did a lot of shooting in my basement this winter at about 5 yards . Best thing i ever did to improve my archery skills .
  7. Maybe this is a good thing,we don't pay them their money and they can take back all the crap merchandise they ship over here.
  8. I'll have to look for bigger ones,my dad and I use those for holding our trail cameras to the tree, works great.

    Beware

I hear ya, a lot of us are capable of doing stuff ourselves and we deal with the outcome, good or bad, when you pay someone who does it for a living you expect a positive outcome. Hopefully it doesn't tarnish the memories of a successful hunt to much.

    Beware

Those are all signs of over boiling the skull, the teeth will fall out and the thing layer of what ever it is that hold the skull plates together comes apart. I did... errrr i mean my friend did the same thing once.
  11. Good job ,today is 4 weeks off the grits for me . I've been using the patch,it really takes the edge off quiting.
  12. I just picked one of these up on fleabay , we had one when i was really young and for some reason i always think of that table when i think back to the days of camping next to the genesee river in shongo.
  13. The scope that had caliber specific BDC reticle was on sale.
  14. Fireworks going off everywhere around us,what a good night. Had to pass up going to a big bash to make sure I get up in time to meet pops for some treestand fun tomorrow.
  15. So going through my checklist for tomorrow to move treestands I figured I would share my 3 dollar treestand hoist. We'll use 2 people tomorrow because my dad will be with me but you could just as well raise the stand in position and tie the rope off to tree. Makes it so much easier to put a stand in place when the weight of the stand is not an issue. Just an exhaust clamp ratchet strapped to the tree . I switched to climbing sticks last year and this makes it so easy to hang the stand once the sticks are attached to the tree.
  16. Do any of you guys know of any programs to donate a car to a returning vet? I bought a new car in April and they only wanted to give me 400 for my old car so i just kept it. Its a 2005 cavalier with 100k on it , it came from Florida and i had it oiled a couple times and it has no rust . i did a google search but i don't know if they are legit or a well thought out scam . Thanks
  17. I can't help but think of Rodney dangerfield in caddy shack comment about his steak having the marks on it from where the jockey was whipping it.
  18. I got a couple pics of my wife from her father's day with her dad. They had 19 in the boat I think, they all got thrown back. The biggest was 19 inches. EDIT,she'll kill me if she knows i posted pregnant pictures of her on the web.
  19. If they only knew how much they will be missed when they are gone.
  20. For me ,59 degrees is perfect for manual labor. I'm one of those people that sweat standing still, the trade off is that I rarely get cold in the winter time.
  21. We have some really nice trails not to far of a drive from us but sadly a mountain bike that I can thrash in the woods and bring back in one piece is not in the budget right now. I have one that I ride on street and see how long I can ride the back tire.
  22. The problem I still fight with is keeping some cover to the sides of the camera that doesn't blow in the wind and trigger the camera.
  23. That's the bears at the watertown zoo. It really is a fun place ,the best part is,my wife had the same color shirt on that the zoo workers wear so all the animals were coming right up to the fence .
  24. The wife and I are on the last leg of our journey around NYS,it has rained constantly. This was from day one just before it started raining. We hit up the water park in old forge monday ,it rains ed on us but we were already wet so no big deal that day.
  25. Nicely done, that should help people out who haven't had to learn those lessons the hard way. I know I have.
