Happy Birthday DT. Hopefully you have a great day!

How's "Johnny Law" or "The Heat" .........................
-
Yes, it was quite a morning. That was my friends place in Lima, NY. Same place I corked this one fall of '14..........(also while deer hunting) We have killed a few others on that farm over the past 10 years while deer hunting and missed some other good opportunities.

This. It wouldn't take too many strategically placed cameras to give the popo a pretty good start on catching the bad guys. As said in the quoted post, this technology should be within financial reach of anybody today. I'm in..............

Coyote with the ML'er? Piece of cake............................... Too bad they weren't targeted that day or I'd look pretty proficient. For those that have a foggy mind or are new here...........I killed the doe first, pulled her back across the little gully to my side after gutting her. Climbed back up with the climber. 20 minutes later the first 'yote came mooching along, thinking there might just be a wounded deer or better yet a fresh gut pile. Wrong, just me. Killed that one on the other side of the gully and it ran into the bottom. I thought that was pretty neat! Climbed back down the tree, slid down into the bottom and dragged it back and set it along side of the doe. Stud hunter that I am, I figured I'd climb back up and wait out a buck now. Nope, shortly after getting back up in the stand another song dog shows up. Man what a morning! (oh yea, I used a T/C Encore 50cal. Right now I can't recall the bullet.....Barnes TMZ maybe??)

You have a fellow asking for some help for a friend and instead of offering some help in identifying the piece, you toss out a pretty big number (for some, but not all) to snatch it up from an uneducated individual. The OP didn't ask for offers nor did he say a damned word about selling the gun, just looking for information. So now it's painfully obvious that you know something about the pictured firearm but aren't going to help out. Classy move...............

Big help you are............douche bag.

Shed horns are so damned neat! To think they grow them EVERY year too......wow.

#1 and #2..........found a couple weeks ago. I've already posted these in an earlier thread:

Old Jim knows bucks and bears but doesn't know his rifles. If his fathers gun is as old as he says, it probably is a 721, NOT a 788. Pretty foolish to not have that house set up with a top shelf alarm system too. Dang the luck.........

What model Baffin are you talking about?
-
Thanks all, the prayers and well wishes are heard & appreciated.

I like the 9mm as it has a little more ass behind it. Smith & Wesson Shield is my choice, FWIW. That said, I also own a Kel Tec P32 that fits the pocket of swim trunks.............and does get some action occasionally.
-
I'm going to Milo's. My butt is dragging and I don't feel like cooking..............................sorry to disappoint.

They must have been strapped to that life jacket in your avatar?!?!

Weird at the very least. Some details would help.......a magazine like Guns & Ammo or Shooting Times? Or from a Tikka, AR15, Ruger 10/22 etc?? Gimme a clue here man!!

Hey, Happy Birthday Sir! What's the plan for the day/evening??

Dove Locations & Numbers in NY
Lawdwaz replied to mike rossi's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
I doubt they're counting many by voice because if you can hear the soft cooing of a dove you're pretty damn close! Also, that fact that you don't seem to think there are many doves in NYS is just the fact that you don't look for them or notice them because you don't care. If you have any interest in bird hunting and got the opportunity to hunt dove, I promise you'd notice them EVERYWHERE and then you'd get it. Believe me; they are here, there and everywhere. Sometimes by hundreds! Fun like you can't believe and tasty too.- 32 replies

Dove Locations & Numbers in NY
Lawdwaz replied to mike rossi's topic in Small Game and Predator Hunting
The takeaway here is that the CBC is NOT done by NY Dove Hunting or anybody that is trying to skew the numbers FOR dove counts.- 32 replies

My question is: Why are you online at 9:18 AM? Sick day?, Dead Presidents Day?, Your Birthday? Working From Home Day? Take Lawdwaz To Lunch Day?

I found the LLBean Maine Hunting shoe to be about the worst hunting shoe available. Absolutely no arch support and the "chain tread" delivered not a bit of traction and would be wore out in only a couple years. Ever try and climb a very slight incline with those boots? Cold weather, forget it......... Yea, they were fashionable back in the late 70's and 80's when I used them (multiple pairs) but function over fashion any day. Much better choices these days.

I'm back on the RIGHT side of the fence now! Nice pic!!

Looks like a winner. You going to get into it? Formal classes would go a long way to kick starting your new career.
