I can confidently say that my longest drags by far have been in Pennsylvania. Many times when I'd get back to the truck huge patches of hair would be removed from the buck's side. I always dreaded the kill that came after 4:30pm..........UGGH. It's a wonder I didn't knock out a blinker with a stick in the dark.

WTB (LOOKING FOR) Leupold Scope

Found a used one on another site. Lock 'er up mods. -
Damn.....................outstanding!

I've also been the mule MANY times for the older guys and now I'm getting long in the tooth too. I'll grab the 'wheeler anytime I can or even drive right up to them as often as possible. This past archery season I did something I've never done: called in TWO guys to help drag the beast. 205lbs of good times..................

Strange that it still isn't on their web site. It's quite a neat story; the thing about it is that they aren't athletes, FAR from it! One guy weighed in at 470lbs, another at 340 and the last one was 200 when they left. They said "we were the laziest guys for 20 years; playing video games and watching movies. We're not the active type" They started walking around the neighborhood and started to loose weight and feel better. Then they got an idea almost as big as them, "hey, why not walk to LA from Buffalo?" With little to no preparation, they took off. Pushing modified baby strollers to hold their gear they headed out......... They haven't finished yet but should in a couple months. Too bad it isn't available on line, I thought it was great.

Anybody read the front page article on the three guys that are walking from Buffalo to LA? It's a HOOT! I don't see a link to it on their web site, maybe later today or tomorrow?? If you have the news, read it and report back....................

2 buck & 2 doe. (Buck & doe w/bow and buck & doe w/ML'er) Both buck in 9H and doe in 8N and 8H. Friends & family didn't do great but a few bucks in 8N and a handful of doe.

WTB (LOOKING FOR) Leupold Scope
Lawdwaz replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Great scopes for sure, for some reason I never had one on a big game rifle. Weird huh? But like I said, the 2x7 is a favorite of mine. Just a little sleeker??? -
Copper fouling.

WTB (LOOKING FOR) Leupold Scope
Lawdwaz replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
I've had great luck with the various 2.5x8 vari x III scopes I've owned and don't see (pun?) a reason to switch. The physical size of them, clarity, ease of focus, eye box depth, strength etc. are some of the reasons I like them. I have only one 3x9 and that is a EFR rimfire scope and have never owned a regular 3x9 Leupold. I do have numerous 2x7 Leupold's and like them considerably. -

Not looking for cheap, just market value. I like the older ones a bit better than the new ones. -
I got the Cabela's yesterday IIRC and it went right into the recycle bin.......I never even opened it. I have enough turkey hunting paraphernalia......................

WTB (LOOKING FOR) Leupold Scope
Lawdwaz replied to Lawdwaz's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Thanks for the offer but I'm not too interested in anything but the 2.5-8 Leupold. I have a couple other Leupolds laying around: 2x7, 3x9 and a 3.5x10 etc. I took the 3.5x10 Leupold VX3 off the 7mm-08 and am going to replace it with the WTB 2.5x8 if I can score one. I have 3 other 2.5x8 Leupolds mounted now and they really are a favorite of mine. I have another web site I'm watching and there's always Ebay, just thought I'd give it a run here first. Thanks for the offer though! -
Was that on Rt 15 or 287? (right area I hope)

Dog-gone-it all..............figures YOU'D want one too. -
I'm looking for a used/like new Leupold 2.5x8-36 matte/duplex scope. I don't really care what variation it is.....vari x III, VariX 3 or VX 3 (not sure if I go them all correct anyway) Let me know if you have one you'd part with........thanks.
-
All I own for scopes are Leupold. I've sent a few in over the years, heck as recently as yesterday! I mailed them an old varix II 2x7c scope I've had for years. The power ring is just about impossible to turn now so off it went........lets see how quick it gets back.

That sounds cool. I didn't know it went that far?? -
Here's a pretty neat video clip of a shed horn buck checking out my camera.............................It could be the buck who's horns I found a couple weeks ago, I have had many videos of him from this trail but who knows?? shed buck.AVI

Cut it out, I KNOW how old you are..................plus you have as much gray hair as I do.

IIRC correctly, Pygmy has a couple awesome wall pedestal mounts. It'd be great if he could hang a couple pics.

Opps, sorry for the double post

I just called Bernie Seitz yesterday with my choice in forms for my buck......IIRC ( I'm old and pretty forgetful) I told him 9500 Full Wall Pedestal Semi Sneak from Joe Coombs left looking. He said I should have it by the end of the month or early March. http://www.joecoombs.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=24_70_296&products_id=4039 I think....
