Ohhhh crap. 5' in the house again? Say it ain't so...................................................................
-
Got the job done. It poured as soon as we got there........only for a few minutes though. Next?
-
I don't think it was a time lapse, more of a "walk and snap pics" collaboration. I just talked to my buddy again, he had better than 5" in his rain gauge.........!!
-
Just talked to my buddy in Canadice and they got belted!!

Does hinge cutting keep the tree top alive longer for the deer to browse on, I'm assuming it does??

Things are pretty quiet here, we got some rain but certainly not enough to pose any real issues. Oh wait, it looks like its back.............. I have a job to do for a customer (senior apartments) cleaning some large common area halls. Hauling in and out 400' of hose (two hoses @ 200' each) in a down pour doesn't make for a fun time. Rain coats shed some of the water but perspiration makes it a moot issue. Then a driving rain into the electronics of the machine never gave me a warm fuzzy feeling. We'll give it a shot after lunch as long as the radar looks better. Keep the field reports coming!

I did dig GI Joe; had the man and his kick ass Jeep. Gay I know.............................................................................

Meatloaf, smashed potatoes, zucchini and a couple gin & tonics........... Wife is working until about 8 I think, daughter till 10:15. I steamed the zucchini with some onions and Italian seasoning earlier this morning in anticipation of a killer meal! I'll start the meatloaf shortly then the taters. We'll be eating in shifts, unfortunately but necessarily.

The current issue of NYOutdoor News has a nice article on dove hunting (or lack of!) in New York State. The lone voice for dove hunting here in NYS has been a gentleman named Fred Neff, until now. Mike Rossi is leading a charge for a dove season here in NYS as seen on this web sites pages numerous times and was noted as such in the article. Nice plug for Mike, Fred Neff and the future of dove hunting in New York State.

How many cams do you have out now? Do you have some in action at your camp?
-
Quite a statement there, painted with a very broad brush too. Care to elaborate on your vast experiences?

THAT is a big sumbiitch! I use a Waring Pro unit that looks like this one but I'm sure I paid more for it than this one.......... www.amazon.com/Waring-MG-800-Professional-Grinder-Stainless/dp/B0000CEURE/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&qid=1406427221&sr=8-11&keywords=meat+grinder+waring+pro I've had it for three hunting seasons so far and it has been great. I don't have a ton of room to store stuff so this one works for me.

What could be the upside of these things? WHY COMPLICATE THIS STUFF?
-
Wow........ a little "politically incorrect"?
-
It's fun to guess what the age might be..................'cause it is a guess at best.

I'm watching Fox News and the Sears Optical commercial comes on. The lady in her robe is calling her kitty in from the back yard and instead of a kitty, a raccoon comes strolling in...................... Then you see the 'coon laying in bed with her!! Time for an eye exam......................................LOL

Darn she is a big one!
-
Darn I was thinking this was about corn on the cob for humans.........!! We have had some great corn so far this year from the Orleans County farmers.
-
Oh and a huge congrats to the Albany County hunters that are looking forward to using a CF rifle!
-
30-30, 308 and 300mag all use the same diameter bullets. Only difference is how fast you make 'em go.............

Nice buck! Dressed at 175 is a stud, few guys have shot deer that heavy. Aging a deer even when you have the jaw in hand can at best be only a guess unless you spend the money to have it sawed and put under a microscope. People watch too many of these deer hunting shows that have footage of these bucks standing at feeders, trail cams, high fenced operations etc. with these "Pro Staffers" giving advice. Dr Grant Woods is a different matter but he and I don't hunt under the same conditions.
-
Not sure why you quoted that remark of mine but it certainly wasn't a shot at you.
-
Nice bucks, especially that stud in the back! I wonder how old the one on the left is?
