  1. Well my wife forced me to urgent care tonight. Yesterday I felt fine but I do think I have a concussion. I'm sensitive to staring at my computer at work and TV's and today I came home early to take a nap to rest my eyes. That sent her over the edge. So urgent care said I should have gone right to strong trauma center, do to how far I fell but since I'm not showing signs they said I most likely have a concussion and referred me to the concussion center. 8 lives left!
  2. I won the argument and passed on urgent care, all in all not to bad today, little sore in areas but not bad at all. Damn lucky
  3. Funny you say that, I'm currently arguing with my wife as she wants me to go to urgent care, she called my doctor...ugh
  4. Thanks guys, I forgot my name and crapped my pants for awhile jk. I keep thinking about the endless bad situations that could have come from it, sadly just before I said to myself this is sketchy. I've been tossing down Advil as Im feeling it in my shoulder and neck now. Crazy lucky!!
  5. Never heard of them, I'll check em out thanks
  6. Moved the first stand over the plot!
  7. So I'm working on moving some stands around today. First stand I'm moving is a 15ft ladder stand, so stupid me climbs right up decide I can take the strap off since the bar half way up the ladder is tied to the tree part way down and I have a small tree I can hang onto as I wiggle down the steps, well during the second step down the ladder stand took a twist and down I went landing on my back. The only thing that went thru my mind mid fall was I have my phone on me, crash and a loud grown on landing. Not sure how far down I went but I know it was over 10ft, heck I'm 6'4. Got super lucky!! Seem to be ok so far, not sore yet. No signs of anything yet. So moral of the story don't skip steps, normally I tie a ratchet around the ladder and the tree part way up but I thought I'd be ok. Be safe!!
  8. The logger who did ours said he's seen deer follow him as he's cutting trees
  9. It's coming in pretty well, dropping some more fert and should be all set!
  10. Cool deal. I haven't met Matt yet but I did buy one of his cow skulls a couple yrs back. My wife stuffed it with tiny white lights, still love that thing!
  11. Sweet deal, that's something I plan on doing in my ladder yrs towards retirement when I have time to commit. Good luck Bob
  12. Yeah that's exactly what it was, I just didn't anticipate that much loss, but it sat bare no rain for over a week. Next yr I'll be sure to bump up the seed I broadcast.
  13. Took a quick drive up tonight to see how it looks after another week of growth plus see if any seed germinated from re seeding last weekend. It's getting better, next yr I'm definitely seeding way more than they say you need.
  14. I was thinking about taking a drive to check out our plot.
  15. Carefully spreading it, I accidentally dropped a bunch in a clump and it burned up that area killing the brassicas. I believe you also have to spread it when it's dry.
  16. Certain blends say to add a week or two after germination starts.
  17. Go Ford, rumor has it Chevy dropped to 3rd on the truck list, fords been on top for a reason.
  18. I would start with a Dec Forester first. My understanding is they can mark your timber to make sure a logger doesn't take all the good and leave the bad.
  19. Well I got my first look at the plots since spreading seed a couple weeks ago, it didn't rain for a week and a half after seeding (damn rain went all around us two days later), coming in fairly well, I'm gonna have to reseed some areas that are light. Seeded some trails now that they are done working.
  20. Drank quite a bit of whiskey in your honor tonight!! Your welcome :-)
